almost first-- the two stars in the middle almost look like eyes, don't they?

I would say they more like snow flakes (ice flakes) than actual stars...

If you look closely at the ice, there are four circle shaped symbols in different spots that don't look like they are a natural part of the ice formation. idk if it means anything but they look interesting to me

Yes there are evil eyes in the middle for sure.

Also the mist seems to be darker in certain areas suggesting a head with horns. I'm pretty sure soon a demon head will poke out.

Pretty sure it's Diablo 3. It's a demon, you can see the horns, the head, the neck and the start of the body. Also one of the symbols is a 3 sideways and another one looks almost like a D.... But who knows, all this speculation is usless because they could just make it look one way to end up throwing it into a different way...

Well its supposed to be anounced by Blizzard that it is a new game, and usually expansion packs like WotlK aren't new games. And plus, why would Blizzard do this if it WAS the expansion pack WotlK? It seems more like D3 or W4 to me. It could be a completely new and improved Diablo game or, based on the undead and the demon's/naga of the Warcraft series. It seems more likely to be D3, seeing how the shards of ice or w/e in the middle look pretty demonic to me, and I can almost picture a new demon maybe trying to dethrone the devil or something for a new Diablo? Personally I hope its a new Warcraft game to be honest.

If you click on 'Zoom In' and look at where the chin might be of a face might be, you can almost see like a very broad chin, and on the upper right of where the face would be, you can see the tip of what would seem to be a horn, its the part right to the left of the oddly shaped dagger thats in the space between the ice that is pointing to a rune. And on the left, not so much but there is a small curved indent as if it may be carved out by a very strong, sharp horn?

Ahh, I just noticed this zooming in after saving the image onto my desktop using simple ol' Windows Photo Gallery, if you look very closely next to all the runes/symbols, you will notice an odd symbol that almost looks as if it is an 8 or a 3, and the symbol on the left with the sideways 3, the '8' seems almost as if its a W or a uu W? For Warcraft? But it looks more like a backwards 3 or for some people a cursive capital E.

And omg, I JUST noticed this, but try to bear with me looking at this picture zoomed in quite a significant amount, about 200 to 250%. If you look at the left symbol, and the bottom left symbol, in between closer towards the bottom left symbol...tell me, what does that look like in the ice there? Does it not look like a dead SKELETON LEG!!! And almost in the middle, its as if you can see the bone in the ice widen to show some form or shape of a knee. You don't even need to zoom in to see the left or the foot, but its just very, very small, so small its hard to notice at regular size.

Also I don't know if this means anything to any die hard Diablo/Starcraft fans but look very, very closely at the very middle left, there is a little spot of darker red than the red coloring of the ice, and if you zoom in it almost looks as if its scribbling or scratches.

And I just noticed another thing looking very closely, zoomed in at the face, I can faintly see lines of a larger forhead that is sticking out further than normal making the eyes squinty or very pointy as you see obviously, it almost reminds me of Predator, but with horns, of course I'm talking about the mask's forhead area.

If anyone can tell me how to upload a photo, I'll draw red lines to point out what exactly I'm talking about, it would be a huge help! Sorry for the long post and multiple posts. XD

IMO this is all the hype building up to something that will be announced, it is exciting but, this is what blizzard wants..

My bets are on Diablo 3 ( the deamon looking figure) or Warcraft 4 ( another deamon figure, maby sergaras?)

Anyway dont pay too much attention to any "hidden message" its a marketing strategy to get people talking, create contraversy.

I wont be suprised if it isnt d3 or w4.

well thinking back to warcraft lore this has nothing to do with warcraft, the only icey menace in the game is Arthas, so if this is warcraft they are pulling lore out the ass.. as for diablo, it could be one of the prime evils (Baal, diablo, mephisto, etc.) frozen in ice, the game doesn't necessarily have to take place right after the second one after all, what im wondering is what the hell is the penguin thing. it may even be a new prime evil not yet introduced to the story line...and as for starcraft: ghost...i mean seriously, if thats all it is ill just get pissed lol. the eyes are spaced enough for a demon or a dragon, or even a beast. im hoping that the creature in this picture isn't that damn penguin thing in the other -.-. and if it is that can probably mean that we are seeing a completly new franchise, it may even be a combination of a D4 WC4 announcement, but i highly doubt that myself. im hoping though that it will be blizzards next attempt at the console race, maybe a WC for ps3 or X360 ( i doubt blizzard will go to far into the wii's playing field). all i know is i cant wait for sat/sun to roll around. as for what irish guy said...if that figure was sargeras it would mean that blizzard is ready to end the warcraft series once and for all :( as much as id love to kick sargeras's ass, i don't plan to yet

....and just to add. Anyone here think it might look like a tomb? From the perspective we're looking from, we may be the creature, human, or whatever looking up from an opening tomb. If you remember, Diablo had to Free Baal from imprisonment, whats not to say its doing the same here? We could be seeing through the eyes of whatevers in the tomb, and the eyes shown in the middle could possibly be either diablo, or something else that is freeing the thing within.

Just my two pennies :P Not to mention the ice seems to open UPWARDS, hinting that we're looking straight up in stead of down at something.

Yeah but that leg is quite odd, even if it is just advertising to stir up excitement.

So no one remembers the story from D2 LoD, I believe what you are seeing here is the world crystal being destroyed and unleashing hell on earth, the demon you see coming thru the crystal is Diablo and his brothers father to once again come to power. He was sealed inside the world crystal ages ago by the barbs of the north which they faught hard to protect.

Maybe what I said is true maybe its not reguardless it is a good part of a story :)

As i said in other images like this (opening screen of Bliz pages), as far as Blues (WoW-Administration) told it is the top of IceCrown glacier, which will be completely melted (destroyed) on the day of WotLK's launch

P.S, for Diablo fans: Project for Diablo 3 is already started (and it'll be ready in alpha step by the end of this year) , it's planned to be launched at fall 2009 or 1st period of 2010 (Let's wait and see)
