You get grumpy, huh? Now THAT'S addiction! I was forced quit Ragnarok Online since I dind't have my own PC and Internet connection ever since I got into college. I'd get anxious and fidgety at first but it eventually wore off. 'Sides, you'll realize the benefits of quitting soon after.

Here, I found this in the Philippine Ragnarok Online forums. It was written by a member there.

Five Benefits of Quitting Ragnarok Online:

1. More space in my head.

2. More money in my wallet.

3. Better performance at work (or higher grades on my card if you're still a student).

4. More time for my girlfriend.

5. More time for myself and the people who matter.

If you can't play and  your feelinggrumpy.. try banging your head on the wall 100 times. yup.. not 99 but 100. lol

but seriously. get a life. go out party, play some sports. I love mmos but I dont let it hinder my activities in the real world. try to focus your anger in the real world through your mmos and not the other way around... try taking off those week long pajamas and socks and go out. there are a lot of things going on aside from your character levelling up.

simply put. get a life.

try playing for just 2-3 hours daily to reduce your addiction

try doing something different like playing sports, watch a movie, hang out with your friends

there are still a lot of good things you can do in real life

it'll be hard to control at a start in a couple of days, but with enough patience and self control, you'll back to a normal guy in no time

You probably need to find a hobby that you REALLY enjoy, not one forced upon you by others. If you let the latter happen, you get frustrated/bored and can't keep your mind off the particular MMO you're craving.

Something that requires heavy concentration is a must.

A getaway. try going somewhere away from your pc (and of couse don't bring your laptop). Just bring your camera and go nature tripping. nothing clears the head better than fresh air

Dude, the way i quit wow. Realising it. Warhammer has MUCH better pvp. I cant even stand WoW PvP, its so unbalanced and damage - health - healing ration is by far not leveled. Ninjas, etc. that ruin gameplay. Basically all i did was do dailies, and then i stopped doing them, because, well, whats the point? Its boring to repeat the same quest for 9 weeks.

The main reason i quit was because i was spending $15 a month to sit around spamming Dalaran, just waiting for a raid to happen. The raid would last about 3 hours max, 2 times a week. Sure those 6 hours a week are fun, but is it really worth 15 a month?

You can enjoy much better games for 15 a month. Hell, free. If you want to quit wow, I suggest playing something like Runes of Magic.. Its actually quite fun, and its graphics are VERY similar to WoWs. Some things RoM does better, but obviously WoW is going to be the overall better choice. (But RoM is free.)

Um, but how's that gonna help Tutubi get over his addiction?

i think he didn't get the question

=_=

quitting the game itself and moving to a new game won't help at all

unless you let someone hack your account so you'll lose your desire to play...kidding XD

this is what im doing right now. subscription is ending on the 18th and im already letting it go...

no pressures regarding raids anymore. but ill sure miss my online friends and guildmates.

still getting the urge to play once in a while but friends are helping me overcome it by asking me to come with them for gatherings and stuff...

i guess real life is sooo much better that virtual life

indeed... but the best part is mixing virtual life and real life, meeting your online game friends and hanging out  is really a great experience

Yep, and i did understand his post. He is also getting angry, which like a smoker, he wont let go too easily. The best way is to ween him off a bit. I personally have gone down roughly 7 hours of gameplay each day since i quit wow. (I played 10 hours a day. I mean, literally paying to sit in dalaran spamming trade... :/  )

But ya dude, just quit. Get on to another game that wont take as much time, hang out with friends and other stuff like that.
