Not exactly true Renmaru1337.
URL is an acronym for Uniform Resource Locator. Get some basic definitions here LINKY
It also is no where near the same as WWW which I'm sure you know stands for World Wide Web. LINKY
The WWW is just a way for the servers to tell you what they are sending you. WWW for the web, FTP for files, etc.... The URL is the complete address that points to the remote location. It is the complete address consisting of the http, www, .com (.net, .edu, .gov, etc..), and the type of file that you are receiving (.htm, .asp, .php, etc...)
So the WWW is only a small part of the URL and you can not have the WWW without the URL but you can have the URL without the WWW. Huge difference.
Also Fredsgaard to answer your question more correctly the post was most likely removed by the forum moderators because it violated the forum rules or was lost in the forum upgrade hence the "The page was removed by Curse's moderators." The answer is in the question.
I'm not trying to be mean but misinformation is the worst part of forums and can lead to it being spread as fact.
