Having a Problem with SKinner

I need help. I downloaded the skinner addon and its really cool but when I begin to play the entire screen is covered with a black fog looking texture. I really want to use this addons but I also want to be able to see where im going. looked like skinner was covering your entire screen

Since I tryed to skin KLHthreatmeter it ended up skinning the whole screen.
