read thread at beginning. helped but not working. working with VISTA,puters are NOT DOUG FRIENDLY
1)downloaded questhelper
2)created folder in WoW as I could not find one anyplace (made addons folder inside)
3)unzipped, copied and pasted all files (about 13 or so)into addons folder
4)clicked on Wow shortcut to start playing NO LITTLE DOTS ANYWHERE

??does it matter where I put the interface folder eg. at bottom of folders listed or at beginning or in middle??
will read thread again and do again from beginning and HOPE
!*!* did from beginning as written AND added atlasloot >>>>NO GLORY (RUDE NOISE AND EXPLATIVES)

In your WoW folder create folder 'Interface'. In the interface folder create 'Addons'. Now open the zip file you downed and drag the folder listed in there (in your case Questhelper) to your WoW > Interface > Addons folder. All Questhelper files have to be in that Questhelper folder, not in the Addons folder, else it's ofcoars impossible to use multiple addons which might use the same file names.

So your file listing would look like this:
WoW > Interface > Addons > Questhelper > file1 / file2 / file3.....(maybe even a Questhelper sppecific folder)

Thank you SIR for ur help. I tried again and still no glory. From past experience I am sure it is NOT the teacher or the puter but the user. As I said puters are NOT Doug friendly. I will try and find a fellow WoW person here to hold my hand ( physicaly ) through this\

try this, i think you said you had vista, go to start, then computer, then C drive, inside the C drive you should find program files, inside the program files you should find a WOW folder. open that folder then the interface folder should be there. inside the interface folder you will find the addon folder.

mogarx and dosy5555 try right clicking on your WoW Icon, that brings up a menu, at the bottom highlight Properties, that brings up the WoW Properties Menu, look for the Find Target button, click it and that brings up our main WoW directory. You should see the Interface folder with the Addons folder inside. I'm using XP but don't see why that should change for VISTA
