Try Informant, which is a part of the Auctioneer add-on, or try Enhanced Tooltips, which is also very nice. Auctioneer is cool, but it can be pretty resource intensive on some machines. And there is no point in running the whole thing if you only want the tooltip enhancements.

coolstroIs there a addon where you can hover your mouse over an item and it will tell you what that item is used for. I didnt know oily blackmouth's were used for alchemy, I would loot them if i knew so and alot more items I would loot if i knew what they were used for , thanks.
