new lvl 70 mage

Ok I finaly made it to lvl 70 after 3 months of playing and yes i solo alot !
I have run slabs and tombs and ramps and ohb but have no clue where the raids really start at ! any suggestions and feed back and gear needed for a lvl 70 mage to raid would be nice and apprecaited ! thanks

hmm i am getting my first piece of glad gear tomorrow is pvp gear worthwhile to raid witth ?

If you want to start PVE theres an easy way with tailoring.You will have to farm a lot though except you got a lot of gold.You can craft or have crafted or buy spellstrike hood+pants and craft the spellfire set then do some heroics get the wrists boots complete your gear with some gladiators and youll be ready to raid karazhan or Gruul

I think pvp is viable raiding gear..if you cant make the raid times, arena and bg is a good place to start on getting epics..when I left my guild because I couldnt make the times I started to Arena and BG and now I almost have my full Vengeful ..to me its better then waiting to get the appropriate DKP for the gear in Raids..but hey it really depends what youre interrested in.

I am a iice mage so i focus on suriveing more than damage . I am a tailor and have my first piece of shadoweave gear the spellstrike hood and pants i would like but cant find the pattren needed for them.
this is my first lvl70 so i am haveing a blast playing . thank you all who responded with the ideals i will try my best to follow them .

The Spellstrike Hood pattern drops on Grand Warlock Nethekurse in the Shattered Halls.
The Spellstrike Pants pattern drops on Murmur in Shadow Labyrinth.

going arc/fire is the best PvE spec, frost not so much. I'd say go for PvP gear while still trying to focus on spellfire/strike. Also try to get geared enough for heroics, heroics are an easy way to get epic gear without having to through together 10-25 people.
