Greater Heal in Raids?
I think on some fights it's probably not the best heal to use, though there are cases where the time of casting it is afforded. Longer cast heals have turned into very situational heals in a lot of encounters and are typically best used to "fill someone up" after they've taken a lot of damage but aren't the main tank.
I think Greater Heal is a good heal and should be used a LOT in raids. At least thats what im doing. The other healing spells that we can cast are just to expensive. 1 max ranked Greater Heal does around 5k healing(this is average, with good gear it gets better afcorse). And to get that with flash heal your gonna have to spend more mana. If you would spam your flash heals untill your mana is braught to 0, you are gonna have lesser healing done then if you do that with Greater Heal. During a lot of fight its also very inportant to keep your mana bar high at all the time and Greater Heal works with that:D.

i am a priest on BB and my guild is currently on gruul mag and the eye as well as ssc, ive found that as a priest ur most needed in raids for ur greater heals, why would u want to be doing flash heals , thats already mass covered by palidins...it seems to me that if all ur doing is flash healing then ur not getting the most out of ur heal to mana ratio either, probably the most effective use of priests in raiding is for healing the MT or OT although i would agree it does take a silly amount of time to cast

QuaWe had a big discussion in the guild about Greater Heal being viable as raid healing, so I was kinda interested in what your experience was. I'm mostly interested in priests that has experience past grull's lair.
Currently most of our priests agree that greater heal simply is too slow to be used most of the time in raids.
