Can I do this somehow?

Anyone know how I can take the info out of auctioneer and show it in my chatframe automatically whenever a linked item shows up in chat?

Couple examples: When looting you normally see: You recieve loot: [Deep Peridot] I'd like to see: You receive loot: [Deep Peridot] (92s 90c) This would be fun and informative.

Or if someone's asking on trade about something you normally see: [2. Trade] [Somespammer]: WTS [Assassin's Blade] 10g I'd like to see: [2. Trade] [Somespammer]: WTS [Assassin's Blade] (197g 38s) 10g It'd be a very quick way to see if someone's underselling something, which is kinda the fun part of auctioneer anyway :)

I know there's mods that mess with frames, is there a way to interface auctioneer into it I wonder?

This could actually be a pretty nifty addon :)

Someone else said it has to do with the chatframe, there's gotta be somewhere in the framexml area where you can change the default behavior of the chatframe and extract the info from the auctioneer.lua right? :p

Seems like you'd be able to change the chatframe.xml to dig info out of the auctioneer database. Who knows how to do that? :p

What if you could do this, Change it so that instead of outside of the item box it showed this.

[Assassins Blade (179g, 38s, 0c)]

Or make it so when the mouse hovers over the item a little tooltip that is anchored to the mouse will appear with [179g, 38s, 0c] inside of it instead of having to click on it to see what its worth and if it hasent benn seen it could just say [N/A] or something. I'm just throwing out other ideas.

It's definately possible to do - just a matter of finding how to grab the values out of auctioneer with code.
