HOW TO INSTALL ADDONS

use winzip or Winrar Jimmy

I cant get the addon button to show up. I have the addon extracted and everything i moved it to my interface/addon folder. But it wont show up.

I think its because i dont know how to install it into my directory. Sorry im a total noob but can someone help me?

Dear Kalidon.

First make sure that you have downloaded an custom Addon. (The button will not show up if you only have the default ones such as the BlizzardMacro etc).

Then unzip the folder and put it in X:/World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns

Now when you start the game and have logged in the button should be in the bottom left corner (http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/Naimina/WoWScrnShot_090307_132954.jpg)

I did exactly that and it still won't show

Are you sure that you have unzipped the folder?

It shall look like a normal folder not like a "addonname.rar" or "addonname.zip"

Well I found an addon that was first a folder named the addon name and inside that folder was another folder named the same and in that one was the files. So if I had took the first folder, I would get no addon, I have to make sure that the files (the .lua etc) is directly in the folder you put in the Interface/AddOns folder.

Okay, so...

My addons are all in their seperate folders in the Addons folder. They have been extracted correctly and everything. For some reason, AtlasLoot is the only addon that shows up in my box, and even then, it doesn't load with the game. What's going on?

Right, my addons dont' *show up*, is the problem.
