Introduction

While leading PvP groups I've come across many addons that have made leading alot easier. Just wanted to share them with you :). If know of more of these addons I'll add those to the list too.

Map/location

AlphaMap (transparent map)

Transparent worldmap in the middle of your screen. Allows you to see where everybody is at any time while fighting and leading.

PartySpotter (colorcode map dots)

Adds extra information to the player icons on the world map. Color codes them according to class or group number. Also shows you who is in fight, dead, etc.

Managing raid groups

RaidTools (various raid options)

Allows you to easily manage the raid setup. Kicks offline/afk/dnd people, promote/demote everyone, swap entire subgroups, balance classes over the raid groups and more.

RaidSnapshot (save/restore raid setup)

When you enter a battleground, the new raid group will be different from the one you made before you joined. With this addon you can make a snapshot of the raid and restore it after you've joined the battleground. If you make two snapshots you can swap between them according to tactics.

RaidList (invitation queue)

Simple invitation queue. If somebody wants to join, but your raidgroup is full, you can put them on the list until there's a spot available.

Invite-O-Matic (auto invite)

Automatically invites anyone whispering "inv" or "invite" to you. You can add/remove more keywords.

CT Raid Assist (various raid options)

Shows all raid groups on your screen and uses different colors on people for death, cursed, in combat, etc. Also allows you to set main tank/assist.

CT Raid Status (raid stats)

Shows various raid statistics like "raid health", "raid mana", dead/afk count and more.

Statistics and Timers

RaidInfo (raid stats)

See howmany of each class are in your raid, total size of the raid, howmany are not in the same area as you.

SSPVP (various battleground options)

Communication

RaidWhisper (whisper-leading)

Sends a whisper to many people at the same time. For example you could whisper group 1 to attack the Blacksmith or all rogues to regroup somewhere. Many people tend to ignore raid chat but usually listen to whispers. You also don't have to be leader or assistant to use it.

?? (groupnumbers in chat)

I forgot the name of the addon, but it shows the groupnumber and class of anyone speaking in raid chat.

Other

PvP Raid Icons (raid icons put into use)

AVAILABLE SOON Flashes raid icons on people depending on criteria you give. It can put it on people with low health, low mana, healers, as well as flag carriers, people who are not near a node, solo people, etc. It uses one icon per criterium and simply puts it on one person for 0.1 second, and then on the next one, cycling it.

Deadly Boss Mods (timers, warnings)

(former La Vendetta Boss Mods) Shows timers and also has an option to send events to raid warning (node captured, etc.)
