personally i would like to request someone with the artistic skills to create me an amazing wow-themed background (1680*1050 resolution) :P I know a bunch of you out there are very talented, lets have the world see your skills at work! :)

'Well as you may have guessed my mains name on wow is Kaldun...I am currently a level 25 Tauren Druid. I have been playing Wow for about a month and I love it. I am just getting into UI's and Mods and would love to learn scripting to write my own so if anyone can steer me in the direction of the wow scripting language tutorials I would greatly appreciate that.
I too know that there are a lot of you out there with great artistic talent and I would love it very much if someone could message me and let me know if they would be interested in doing a signature banner for me using my Tauren on it and some funny or sarcastic saying. I can come up with that but i don't have what it takes to do the art work on the banner...I'm a writer not a graphic artist.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys on the forum and becoming friends...perhaps even hunting buddies in game...I play on the Ravenholdt server and am the Advisor for "The Crimson Blade" Guild. We are currently revamping the guild and are interested in new members who have fresh ideas for things to do. We plan on having jousts, treasure hunts, with us putting up the prizes, and other things to keep it fun. We have our Tabards designed already and while we can't afford to give them out to everyone, we are always willing to assist with either items to sale or a few silver pieces to help our younger members afford them.
I look forward to hearing from you gentlemen and ladies...btw we are Horde and will kill any Alliance. LOL.

Great intro. I didn't even think to do an intro like that when I started working as staff on here.
The group of us that are working on the Wiki should get together on IRC some night and see what sections each of us are intersted in working on. It would be more productive so we don't have 2 people working on the same Wiki page at the same time.

I'd like to introduce myself: I'm Kody, and I'll be working to improve the atmosphere of the community here at the Curse World of Warcraft portal so that we can turn it into the best discussion and resource community on the internet. One thing that's integral to a community is the forums, so I'd really like to help spark debate and discussion on a wide range of topics. Feel free to start up any discussion on World of Warcraft related topics you'd like... afterall, that's what the forums are for.
I'll also be working on improving the Resource Wiki with other volunteers, as well as keeping you up-to-date on information from the official forums, through the main news page of the portal here at Curse, so be sure to keep an eye on it. And of course, while the forums are the best place for discussion, don't forget to use the image gallery. Feel free to upload your screenshots of the game to the Screenshot section, as I'll be starting a weekly Screenshot Showcase soon, so maybe your screenshots will be selected for that week and shown off on the front page! There's also the Fan Art section, which allows folks to showcase their artistic skills. There are already several cool drawings uploaded, so let's get some more out there. Don't be afraid to show off your artistic flare here, that's what the section is for. :)
