I've found two mods that i really like and I've looked on some other websites on how to get them going... however... It says to extract the files from the zipped folder and place them in my Addons folder. However, I'm getting no response. I havn't done mods before so I'm new to it... can i get some help???

Make these folders if they aren't there:

[PlaceWhereYourWoWIsInstalled]\World of warcraft\Interface\AddOns\

Then pute the unzip the files from the zip files into the AddOns folder so it'll look like this:

[PlaceWhereYourWoWIsInstalled]\World of warcraft\Interface\AddOns\[UnzipppedFolder]

well if u extracted em and ur sure they go with the newer patches it should work, put em in there and when u gonna log ur char there is a small "addon" button down in the left corner. take it up and see if they are on or not(there is a small symbol if they are on and no symbol if they aint) and take out of date to, then they should work

Ok, guys. Here it is step by step.

1.) Find the add u want 2.) Download it on the mirror of your freferance

  • WHEN U DOWN LOAD IT* make sure u save the file to [placewhereyouinstaledworldofwarcraft]\World of Warcraft\interface\addons

3.) It will save as a zipped folder, so go back to [placewhereyouinstaledworldofwarcraft]\World of Warcraft\interface\addons and open the folder. 4.) Unzip the folder but press the browse button when it says "Where do you want to save this file?" 5.) Use [placewhereyouinstaledworldofwarcraft]\World of Warcraft\interface\addons again because the default is just in the same folder. 6.) After all of this is done, you should be able to get onto WoW and see in the bottom-left corner of your screen the "Add-Ons" button. 7.) Click it and make sure the adds you want to use are selected (gives specific options to even choose only 1 char. to use the mod) 8.) After this, enter the world and 'some' , not all mods will give a confirmation message and you will be able to type special demands to modify your add-on for what you would use it for (usualy found in mod description)
