I just want to say I haven't abandoned this add-on. I've just been busy with some other things. I will get back to working on this soon.

Well, it looks like I spoke too soon. I haven't even had time to play the game in over 3 months, much less work on this add-on. The code is very simple. It shouldn't be too hard for someone to pick it up and make it better.

    Nice add-on.

I'd *love* to see something that keeps track of xp over time though - i.e., calculate my xp/hour rate.

In theory, you just need to set up a timer, track the time since the "last timer reset", and set it to automatically reset the timer at the start of each session (and/or provide a "reset timer" button).

You could also easily calculate hours/minutes to level, by dividing xp/hour into the remaining xp until level, as a nice touch. :)

    Thank you.

That is certainly doable. I already use Titan Panel[1] which includes this functionality, though. I really don't find it that helpful, but if this is something that would fit well within XPLog I will certainly give it some thought.

My goal was to keep the add-on simple, yet display some information that I couldn't find anywhere else. Clearly there are some other people that like this add-on, so that gives me incentive to add features.

Yes, unfortunately for those of us who prefer FuBar to Titanpanel, we don't have this feature already, as all the "old" FuBar XP plug-ins (at least, that I'm aware of) don't have an XP-over-time functionality.

It occurred to me this morning that it might be too large on some resolutions (I use 1680x1050). I will look into making the size adjustable.

Are you saying you would rather have just floating text? No background or frame?

  • Yup id like such an option myself, maybe look into also making an option to adjust what actually appeers on it. like only last 3 or remove the rested xp etc. also have an option to show level of self.

Hmm, okay. The floating window feature is now on my todo list.

Being able to see how much rested xp is available is one of the biggest reasons why I wrote this add-on. Why would you want to turn it off? I suppose not showing the label if the rested xp is equal to zero would make sense.

Also, why would it need to report your current level? This information is plainly visible in the character portrait. Are you using another add-on that disables this?

Thank you guys for the feedback. This is all good stuff. I'm sure I will implement it all in time. I just want to get an idea of what should take priority. As it stands now, my priority list is as follows:

    1) Log all instances of xp gain (not much left on this one).
    2) Re-work the window with resolution independence in mind.
    3) Toggleable artwork.
    4) Remember previous size and artwork display.
