Whenever I cast a buff the icon will change and it will stay changed. Can you please just make it so that when I cast the spell it'll just fade like the regular action bar? Also is there a way to move my objectives tab so I can put an action bar there? Or possibly move my chat box up? Thanks.

I need to change a couple of things to make xBar useful.
    # I do not want the icon changed when I activate a buff from xBar,
    # I need to be able to Alt-Click icons for cast on self.
I changed the modifiers in xcustom to alt assuming it would then allow this modifier.

Oh, and a xstopmoving /all would be much more handly then needing to be specific, especialy when u cant remember what u've called sumthing.

By updating all my other AddOns, it seems to be ok again.
It was a conflict with some other AddOn?

After installing patch 3.3 and the 3.3version of XBar, I still only get 1 action tab on each bar. Even when I make a new XCustombar it is the same.
    How can I change this?

The characters allowed are listed in XCustomBar\Localization.en.lua. Note that "." is not allowed for spell names, I am pretty sure there's a programmatical reason I did that, but I will have to double check and/or find a workround.

If you want to experiement, try removing the . from XCUSTOMBAR_CHATCHARS, and put it in XCUSTOMBAR_LIMITEDCHARS

Awesome, that worked perfectly. Haven't seen any error messages or other issues. Thanks :)

I like several peeps suggestion to use a Custom Bar and just put your fav companions and mounts on it to avoid the lag. I'm having trouble with pets with punctuation in their names though, like "Lil' K.T." and "Mr. Chilly" ... the xbar system just takes the punctuation out and then they don't show up on the custom bar. Any suggestions on getting ones like those added (I've read through the other posts and readme.txt files, but can't seem to see the answer).

another problem with it is whenever i click the green starry thing symbolizing "dismount" from the mount you are on, it dismounts to mount again. it doesn't just stay dismounted. I can't mess with horde now :-\

  • XCompanionBar will reset to show all of my companions (137) whenever I reloadui or restart/start my game. Example I can custom config which mounts/pets i want to show, however once i reload the ui, or exit the game, when it comes back up, all 137 companions are displayed again. I have max mounts set to max, as 'mount1' does not list all of the mounts i wish to have displayed. I know using custombar will fix this, and im about to do so, but its stil an error/bug that should be reported.

It won't work at all now. It says it is "Incompatable" on add-ons menu from the realm page

v3.26 up, fixed some issues with the slide bars and XCompanionBar now lets you limit the # of shown pets, reducing lag. This fix was implemented so that the majority of users will not need any special configuration.

XCompanionBar limits the number of companions shown by simply ignoring them after a set number, so you will get the first (however many you specified) pets shown in your companion tab available to you. If you can't get the specific mounts you want to show without enabling a large number of companions (like the Zhevra), you should disable it and create a custom bar.

    To all regarding XCompanionBar:
Ever since I made this one, it has been problematic. I have over 100 companions on my main, and using it will cause me massive lag, so I generally leave it off. I could add display limits for each companion type (mount/pet), but this will pick them alphabetically as they appear in your companion list. I might set this to default to 10 each to avoid massive interface lag. Each additional button that is created increases interface lag.

A few days ago, our server got major lag (to the point where they had to restart it) which made my wow crash and corrupt my saved variables file. I was able to fix everything but XBar. The problem I have with Xbar now, is that it won't appear over the silver griffins (where the action bar is) but under it. Also, the number of reagent left (portals/buffs) is no longer centered in the icon. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it but to no avail. Can you help ?

You might try to reset the options by using the /xbar options reset command. If you have not defined any custom option sets, you will use:
    /xbar options reset 1
You will have to re-configure all the bars after this, however.

Also, note that XBar does work with ButtonFacade for skinning, which will adjust the positioning of the reagent counters. If you are using ButtonFacade, then this is normal, and you should pick a skin that you like with ButtonFacade.

I did reset the xbar options. I don't have ButtonFacade installed. I tried it after you reply and it won't allow me to modify the font and its position. I can only modify the general feel of the button and its colors. Therefore I removed it, going back to square one. The problems still persist. Xbar bars don't have display priority over Blizzard's bars. But it doesn't bother me anymore, I moved them. My only concern now is how to get the reagent count back to its original position.

Also it would be a nice to have to be able to disable the switch in the button display when a buff is active, as it doesnt help a mage with frost/fire ward or armor active.

Anyway, thanks for all your work I really appreciate it. I love this addon !

I love this addon, but I've recently encountered a problem. When the companion bar is loaded, my framerate drops. This problem is very bad with my Warlock when she has a minion out. Having the companion bar loaded drops my framerate from about 55fps down to 40fps. On my warlock with the minion out, it drops to 3-12fps, and during combat it's a steady 3-6fps. I've tried disabling every other addon, but I only have this problem with xbar companion bar loaded. All other xbars are fine. I'm using Xbar v3.25 (Sep 26, 2009).

My warlock has 80 companions and 58 mounts, which is a lot, but my mage has 82 companions and 14 mounts and she doesn't have this problem with both Summon Water Elemental and Mirror Image active. My hunter doesn't have this problem either, though he only has a few companions and mounts.

My xbar companion bar quite often doesn't appear when I log in and I have to /console reloadui and then go into xbar config and make it visible again.
