I love this add-on a lot but here is one thing that might be worth considering. In the options menu you have a box that says "Only notify when in combat". I would recommend adding another one that only notifies when out of combat. Other than that, works like a charm.

An "only when out of combat" mode doesn't make sense to me, since the whole point of this add-on is to prevent the hunter from sitting around in viper during a fight. What kind of scenario do you want this for?

I tend to have it ding at me when I am still 1-2k short of being full mana.
Other than that I love it.

The default setting will start dinging at 85% mana. You can set it higher under the ViperNotify options (use /vipernotify).

Great addon, but can you make it so when you are dead it stops dinging?

I haven't had any trouble with it this patch. Did you check "Load out-of-date addons"?

would be awesome if u could set a default goback..ie u have viper on...and it gets full mana....go back to dragonhawk..so in this case the default setting would be dragonhawk..and when it gets low...go back to viper? is that doable(sp)????

If you mean automatically casting dragonhawk when you get full or viper when you get low, then no this isn't possible.

im not a mod writter..but i had another look at it and he did it....he asked not to be mentioned cause its not his mod...but he may do a complete rewrite to clean up something ...i dont know what he said because ..like i said its all gibberish to me i can now when prompted at config choose my default aspect....set my mana at whatever level to change to viper....when its full..change back automatically to default..no attention to dings or anything needed...it rocks...it took him about 10 minutes to do....so mayebe angelnorn will implement it in this

First let me clarify: As far as I'm aware, it is not possible to automatically cast spells (or use conditionals outside of the usual macro ones) when in combat. It could be possible outside of combat, but I've never looked into it.

If your friend's mod works in combat, I'd be very interested to see how he did it.

Idk if anyone has this problem...
But when I try to use the "Automatic Install" button. It tells me to enter my account, and I do it several times. It says "Fail to Login", as If I don't have an account. This actually happens for all of the addons I try to install. I'm not able to use Manual Install for a reason.

When will it be able to donate in order to keep this addon up?

I am still maintaining this addon, and while I'm glad you think the addon is useful enough to donate to, I currently have no plans to accept donations :)

I prefer not to release an update with every patch or TOC change, as doing so gives a false sense of when the actual code was last updated. The addon is very simple at its core, so it should remain stable across WoW patches.

That said, I don't use every feature of the mod myself so if you find any bugs, or there's functionality that you feel should be included, feel free to let me know :)
