Description is only accurate for the newest version: v3.22.
UnderAchiever
The AddOn that makes achievement links fake themselves!
Description
UnderAchiever is an AddOn that allows you to quickly fake achievement links, so it looks like you completed them (even if you haven't).
It enables you to quickly link achievements with your own name (and your own date if you've actually completed it) by just linking someone else's achievement, or by typing some in-built replacements like "%epic" or "%toc25" (listed below).
How To Use
UnderAchiever will automatically fake ANY achievement links which aren't completed or don't have your name on. As soon as you shift click an achievement from chat or the achievements list, it will fake it with a random date (which is chosen from between 7 days ago and 14 days ago, or to set your own time span see the commands below) if you haven't completed that achievement (or place your real date in the achievement link if you have completed it). The achievement will of course have YOUR name on it.
If a player links an achievement in trade chat then you can just type "%ua" whilst whispering them to place the same achievement in the message. This achievement will have your name on it, and a random faked date (or the real date if you've completed it). If there is no stored achievement for the player you are whispering, "%ua" will be replaced by the last achievement linked in trade chat (or if that doesn't exist, "%ua" will just be deleted).
When typing a message, you have the option of using the in-built replacements. If you type one of the following in a message, it will be replaced by the associated achievement (faked if you haven't completed it):
- %epic
- %naxx10
- %naxx25
- %voa10
- %voa25
- %os10
- %os25
- %eoe10
- %eoe25
- %uld10
- %uld25
- %toc10
- %toc25
- %ony10
- %ony25
Commands
- "/ua" - toggle automatic faking on and off.
- "/ua help" - shows a list of commands in-game.
- "/ua achievementID" - creates a fake link for the achievement (with random date).
- "/ua day month year" - creates a fake link for the selected achievement (using inputted date).
- "/ua achievementID day month year" - creates a fake link for the achievement (using the inputted date).
- "/ua min num" - Sets the minimum number of days ago that the randomly generated dates should be.
- "/ua max num" - Sets the maximum number of days ago that the randomly generated dates should be.
- "/ua setting num" - 1 will make auto-faking start enabled every time you log in. 2 will make it start disabled. 3 will keep the same state from your last session. By default, this addon will be in setting 1.
Other Info
If you fake the same achievement more than once before logging out, UnderAchiever will use the same date as it did last time (to make it look less suspicious). Using the "/ua" commands that create fake links using your inputted date will overwrite the stored date of the achievement (if there is one) with your new inputted one.
If you link an achievement which you have actually completed, UnderAchiever won't interfere and you will link the real achievement/date. If auto-faking is enabled and you link someone elses achievement which you have also completed, UnderAchiever will change that link to your name and your date of completion.
Custom Dates
When inputting a date into a command (such as "/ua 1404 24 12 2009") you can separate the numbers with either spaces, forward slashes, or dashes. The year can be anything from 2000 and above, although you may just type the last 1 or 2 digits if you wish. For example, the following would work: "/ua 1404 24/12/9". Achievement IDs can be found at the end of wowhead/thottbot addresses (although pasting the web address where you would put the achievement ID will also work).
Added "%epic" and other replacements for quick achievement linking.
Made it link the correct date if you have completed the achievement.
Added options for setting the minimum / maximum boundaries on random dates.
Set the default time span for random date to between 7days and 14days ago.
Added an option for changing whether the auto-faking is enabled by default on login.

Updated .toc
Made "%ua" work in all chat types instead of just whispers.
Made the chat link function hook more accurate, so hopefully shouldn't interfere with links that aren't achievements.

Added auto achievement faking.

Routine update for patch 3.1
Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.
