Usage

Type "/uinvite" to open invite frame.

Type "/uinviteml" to open masterlooter frame or rightclick on launcher button.

You should see a button on your FuBar, minimap, whatever, if a LibDataBroker addon like Broker2FuBar or something like that is installed.

Most functions are provided with tooltips. So no further description here.

The addon is configurable via the standard interface options (ESC > Interface > Addons > UNITInviterConfig)

Description

The addon is designed for UNIT Raidleaders (http://www.wow-unit.net). Though, it's possible to import non-UNIT raid data (see description below). UNIT is an open raid community platform and will be opened for all german realms soon. Have a look at http://v3.wow-unit.net/index.html to get an impression.

Features:

  • See planned raids, exportet from UNIT page (or any other source)
  • Automatically invide participants (single invite or repetitive invite)
  • Group will turn into raid, if necessary
  • Loot Master is set automatically for the forgetful ones among you ;) (can be turned off)
  • Create WoW Calendar Event from exported raids*
  • Create custom invite list by selecting players from exportet player database or exported raids or by adding players manually
  • Filter player list by character name or main-character name (exported player data needs to give info on mainchars of course)
  • Highlight players in list which joined your community's chat channel to get a hint on who is online (IMO a /who on each player would't be the best idea)

  • Master Looter Frame: see all raid members/roll results, loot rating and available loot in one frame. Assign loot to players.
  • Loot rating modules can be plugged-in to calculate loot-system-specific ratings after each assigned loot (a module for the UNIT loot system is included)
  • Participants are not automatically transfered from raids to events. Blizzards API seems to restrict this.

Importing Raid/Player Data

You need to get a 'UnitInviter.lua' file and store it inside your global saved variables folder ("\...\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\[AccountName]\SavedVariables\UnitInviter.lua"). It should be easy for Web-Admins to provide appropriate files containing the information needed (see below).

The file needs to be present before you start WoW! The addon will work though, but without showing any raid or player data. The attached 'UnitRaidExport.exe' may or may not be usefull. It's just a simple command-line programm which copies a file from a given URL into your global vars folder. Usage: UnitRaidExport.exe [AccountName] [FILEURL]. Where [AccountName] here is the same as [AccountName] obove.

I'd love to see an english translation of this, and the site.

    Looks awesome :)

In the first place, I try do design the addon to be most usefull to the community mentioned in the description. Which is to adapt most of the raid management (the specific players, raids, loot system) out of the community website into the game. And there is a lot of work to do.

I'll try to keep this open to other people/communities. Providing an englisch loca-file won't really be time-consuming. This will probably follow shortly. In the end, this is ment to be an addon, helping cross-guild-communities equal to the UNIT-Commmunity.
