I don't kow if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it in my limited attempt.

Is there any way to force a plug-in to show up on the right side? I like to segment my information and some of it I'd like to see on the right side, wether it is a launcher or not.

If there isn't any native option in TP, is there anything I can change in the plugin lua to make it happen? I have some programming backgound but I've never tried LUA or addon programming.

  • Uzagi, you may want to look at the coding of a plugin that can display on either side, like Titan [Mail].

I've had a curious issue twice in the last cpl months. I have used TP as a tracker of various info including the accumulated gold across my account. Twice now I have had disturbing swings in my gold totals. I want to say up front that there really is no reasonable means of my account having been hacked, I am the only one with access to it and am totally careful with my password, even change it every few weeks.

A couple months ago 5k gold showed up in my account. I have no idea which character it came to, I only see the totals in the bar at the top. What a nice surprise!! Well, it remained there for a few weeks. I started a thread in the WoW 'Getting Started' forum titled 'Mysterious Gold' and had all the expected replies including warnings of being branded a gold trader. Then, as mysteriously, 6k gold disappeared from my account. I started an in game ticket and the GM, after looking behind the scenes, would only point at Titan Panel.

Well, I shrugged it off, hey - it's only a game. ... this morning when I logged in I was missing ~500g. I had been approaching the 10k gold mark (again) for a few days and 'hit' it last night - logged out with about 10.2k gold. This morning my total was ~9.7k gold. Started another ticket and again the GM says - Titan Panel. I couldn't tell the GM which toon was missing the gold.

The Blizzard UI has no means of tracking gold across an account's toons. After these two occurrences I'm wondering wtf??? Has anyone ever heard of this before? How do you manage gold across an account? Do you zero a toons gold when he/she is on the shelf?

Dazed and confused!!!! Any thoughts please.

Ok - this is to weird. Not knowing how else to manage this I tossed TP (for now), logged in to each of the 6 toons on this account and sent my main all the gold each toon had. Left 'em each with 4g+ whatever.

Logged in my main and retrieved mail, now my main has 10.4k gold.

What don't I understand about this. All day TP was showing a total of 9.7k .... but collected and centralized, I have 10.4k.

    Anyone??

TitanGoldTracker will not remove nor add gold to or from your account. All it does is display what you have. You can see what characters have what gold by hovering over the TitanGoldTracker icon. You can also show just the current players gold total which is an option on the right-click menu. What may be happening is that the savedvariables file might be corrupted. You can clear this file by deleting the TitanGoldTracker.lua file from your SavedVariables folder or by right-clicking and choosing to clear the database file.

    Hey HonorGoG,

Thanks for the reply. I know you're right .... TP isn't going to err on gold totals. Still feels like I'm loosing my mind.

When I logged my main in and 'collected' the gold from the alts, the recently 'missing' ~500g did show back up .... so maybe you're right about the savedvariables being corrupted. Wondering how often trashing should be done. The thing is, I only know my gold totals 'roughly' within a cpl hundred each day (I know atm I'm a few silver from 11k).

  • FYI : We are well aware that in the 3.2 PTR, TitanLootType is throwing errors, complaining about unable to call global 'GetCurrentDungeonDifficulty'. Blizzard has changed the dungeon/raid API, in order to implement the necessary changes for the upcoming instances. We have fixed the plugin internally and all will be fine for the release. Until then, you can temporarily disable it, from the addon login screen, to get rid of the error.

None of my Titan Panel plugins ever display, either left or right, but they are in the menus. All of the built-ins work fine. This has ALWAYS been true for me, over several versions, all the way back to the beginning of Burning Crusade. What to do?

  • Give a few examples of plugins that won't display ?

    Atlas
    AtlasLoot Enhanced
    Altoholic
    Bartender4

  • Atlas, AtlasLoot Enhanced and Altoholic are all listed under Plugins -> Interface. Simply "check" their menu entry and they will appear properly on the bar (tested myself). The Bartender4 launcher also works as expected, though its category in the right-click menu, escapes me at the moment.

I see the entries under Plugins -> Interface just fine. I have checked and unchecked them and checked them again. They never show up. Built-in plugins show up on the right just fine. This has been true for over a year. What can I do to debug the issue?

    Reply Report Permalink
  • Are you using one top bar or one at the top and one at the bottom ? It may be possible that you are showing them on a hidden bar. Afaik those specific plugins are all "launchers", meaning that at the very least by default, they should appear at the right side of the bar. Are you sure nothing new appear on the right side ?

If all of the above fails, I don't know what else to suggest honestly, other than getting a screenshot of your right click menu, with Plugins -> Interface expanded and posting it somewhere so I can confirm that the menu entries appear as expected.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to move the casting bar. I checked mark it and it reloaded UI but can't seem to drag the casting bar to different location. Thank you! I love titan's addon I would be lost without it! Thanks for keeping it updated!

    Reply Report Permalink
  • Simple answer, you can't move the default (Blizzard's) casting bar. It resets itself to a hardcoded position while you are in combat and no addon can reset Blizzard frame positions in combat (it will simply taint and fail). The option is meant to adjust the casting bar if you have overlapping issues, while using bottom bar(s) on lower resolutions and only outside combat. Now, if you are going to ask how some other addons are able to move the casting bar, the answer is they aren't. They simply hide the default casting bar and create a casting bar frame of their own that they can manipulate.
