  • About Titan Panel [Guild]
  •

THIS ADDON IS FROM chicogrande (jluzier@gmail.com)!
I have only done the changes to make it compatible with Patch 2.4
The outdated version can found here:
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info4720-TitanPanelGuild.html

Titan Panel [Guild]: A simple guild list for the Titan Panel AddOn.

Requires: Titan Panel
Can be found at:
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/titan-panel.aspx
or:
http://code.google.com/p/titanpanel/

- Lists online guild members in a tooltip
- Menu shows names of online members, with click to /whisper functionality.
- Menu has options to /guild chat and /officer (/o) chat
- Menu has option to toggle Show offline members, which changes this setting in your Social frame, Guild tab
- Advanced menus to /w, /invite, /friend or /who guild members
- Shows default messages if the player is not a member of a guild
- Updates the guild listing every 5 minutes to accomodate the GuildRoster() delay and lag. The update only takes place if the player is 'idle' and not accessing conflicting UI frames or Titan elements
- Tooltip and right-click menu content is sortable using the Sort menu option, works like the guild frame
- Filters available for seeing only those guild members within your level range, your zone, or to look for members of a specific class
- Colors rank names (Advanced) or player names (Simple) based on rank index
- To save space, player can turn off menu options

Usage:
- In the right-click menu, click on a guild member name to send them a whisper
- Enable 'Show Advanced Menus' to create submenus for each online guild member based on rank
- Left-click on button to toggle the Friends Frame > Guild Tab
- When you have all settings configured to your liking, use 'Hide Options' to maximize your menu space.

    Okay, call me a Noob. I got the [Mount] to show after I found it in the options pane (right-clicked on blank space on bar). But I can't figure out how to "load" the [Guild]. Before I started using Titan Panel, I could see other guild members when I viewed the map. Now they don't appear in any maps.

    Could you point me to either a forum thread or tell me how to turn it on? Much thanks!

    I reinstalled [Guild] via the Curse installer. It is working now. It was installed previously but I saw it wasn't in the installer's list. So I did it again. It is now working. If it disappears from the installer's list again, well, gremlins.

    Just wondering if it's possible to change the "tooltip" display (when mousing over it on the Titan Panel bar) so that it uses columns for rank, class, and location? It's okay the way it is because of the colors, but it's still "squashed" together. I know columns are possible (one of the crit trackers uses them) and it would make it much easier to see. Other than that, it's a nice addon.

    I will have a look on it.
    Can you send me the exact name or url of the named addon?

    Sorry, but I can't reproduce the error.

  • I figured out how to reproduce the error, hold your mouse over titan guild as your loading in form character select. hard to do but doable, its a complete accident kind of thing but i believe that is how i get the "richtooltip" error

    It's telling me I'm not a member of a guild, but when I right click on it it shows me guildies that are on and gives me options to chat. Hmmmm?

  • thank you for your effort thus far segedel, your addon is such a great idea. i hope you can continue to support it, but if its not so much to ask, is there a way that i can edit the files to show more than 20 people? say like 140 people at a time? (yeah my guilds pretty active heh heh heh)

    The reason it is set for that it because there is not enough room of the screen to display the tooltip.. this can be edited in TitanGuild.lua around line 40 to up how many ppl are displayed

    Since the update, now Titan Guild is freezing my WOW... I eliminated other causes because it is the only add-on I "added" late yesterday after a whole and long session of play and my game froze after a little while.

    I mean, image froze, the game itself was still playable, like when an add-on conflict and use so much CPU... I used Alt+F4 to leave and restarted.

    Regards.

    Please deactivate the addon and start WoW. If WoW does not freeze, reactivate the addon and try again.
    Is WoW still freezing?

    Hello sir,

    No it was not but I used Titan Guild all the day yesterday without "freeze" except some random really "flash" freezes that happens since the last release.

    I can not say if it is related to an add-on or to the lag with the server because it may happens as well with everything deactivated.

    Regards.

    I'm trying to fix this as soon as possible, but it will take some time (I have a lot to do at work)

    since you are busy at work here is the fix don't mean to setp on your toes just trying to help ya out.. titan panel is getting more dependant on ace libs and TITAN_PANEL_MENU_HIDE is now L["TITAN_PANEL_MENU_HIDE"] witch makes making plugins a bit harder unless you make them with the same libs

    localization.lua

    was :
    TITAN_GUILD_MENU_HIDE = "|cff999999"..TITAN_PANEL_MENU_HIDE.."|r";

    now :
    TITAN_GUILD_MENU_HIDE = "|cff999999Hide|r";

    and in

    TitanGuildMenu.lua

    was :
    TitanPanelRightClickMenu_AddCommand(TITAN_PANEL_MENU_HIDE, TITAN_GUILD_ID, TITAN_PANEL_MENU_FUNC_HIDE);

    now :
    TitanPanelRightClickMenu_AddCommand(TITAN_GUILD_MENU_HIDE, TITAN_GUILD_ID, TITAN_PANEL_MENU_FUNC_HIDE);
