  • Update your Tidy Plates.

  • Apologies to the person who recently commented with the problem of not having your threat working, I seem to have deleted your comment with the spammer as well. Sorry!

Anyway, it's best you double check if your threat settings are set to "always on".

If you're unsure of where that is, press escape on your keyboard, click on interface, then on the "Game" tab at the top left, then click on display.
Under these options there is a "Display aggro warning" drop down. Make sure this is set to "always on".

Please let me know if your settings are currently there and if they may possibly be some other conflict.

In my excitement I may have posted too quickly. The sizing issue is resolved, but the color of the bars still isnt changing. Any suggestions?

  • Try doing what I recommended for the guy below. Remove / delete your saved variable and load into the game again.

Still not working, and I made sure I have the "Color Health by Threat" checked. The coloring of the outside of the plates seems to be working with aggro, just not the color of the bars themselves.

  • You should probably update your Tidy Plates then.

If you're using an older version the health bar color feature may not be incorporated / functional in your current version.

This is a great app and I live by it on my Warrior tank. But I'm having the same problem with things seeming to be stuck in DPS mode. I've updated both Tidy Plates and Threat plate to the newest version without any change. Any help would be appreciated.

As a side note I attmepted to change the medium threat level color with out any success either.

  • Try reinstalling the mods and removing your saved variables. There may be something stuck somewhere.

Thanks. I tired reinstalling, but didn't do anything with the saved variables. Which file is that stored in?

    Reply Report Permalink
  • World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\%YourAccountName%\SavedVariables\TidyPlates_ThreatPlates.lua

Just remove that and the ".lua.bak" of that file.

  • Thanks for the link! Definitely a nice demonstration.

One thing to note though is that you can't actually adjust the level's of threat to which the nameplates change. Those "scales" are the actual sizing of the nameplates at the fixed levels of threat provided by the blizzard nameplate mechanic.

Great Theme (in 5mans), really helpful when tankeng on my Warrior twink (main is Feral Bear - no threat problems ;) )
Now - would it be possible to add a feature, or point me to it, to add OTHER Tanks to the scaling of the Bars
So you actually see in Raids, if someone else than the MTs gets aggro.
The bars simply spam me to death because of growing when taning in raids.
Maybe use the Maintanks set within the Blizzard-UI?
Would be extremely nice in Raid situations.

  • As much as I would like to have that feature available, it's not possible with Tidy Plates considering there are no associations to UnitID's of the mobs the nameplates represent.

The communication from one tank to the other / tank targets won't mean anything if the nameplates are just floating boxes of information that can't tell you which mob EXACTLY that they represent.

Is there a way to make background (non-targeted) plates less transparent? I'd love to use the mod but I can barely see them.
