The Addon TargetCheck lists the Players in your Raid/Party who also select your target. Might be helpfull for Healers. Is helpfull for CC and Target Assignments, especialy in AdHoc environments.

Move the frame with shift click, resize it with alt click. There's also a Right Click Context Menu for some settings. This does not work with mouse anchor.

    I got a loong warning-spam onscreen when I joined any raid or party group:
    - TargetCheck Warning. Got no class list for unit raid1, class nil
    - TargetCheck Warning. Got no class list for unit raid2, class nil
    - TargetCheck Warning. Got no class list for unit raid3, class nil

    etc, etc.

    I'm using english client.

    I have tested extensively, and never had those problems. Maybe it only manifests itself in special circumstances?

    TargetCheck 0.72. Error that occurred 5 times (at different times) in a Karazhan raid yesterday:

    "TargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:242: bad argument #1 to 'insert' (table expected, got nil)\nTargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:242: in function `TC_GenerateUnitList'\nTargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:265: in function `TC_RebuildUnitLists'\nTargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:271: in function `TC_Check'\nTargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:80: in function `TC_OnEvent'\n<string>:\"*:OnEvent\":1: in function

    Thanks for the report, fixed the bug in 0.68. Quite silly... forgot to update a small part of code.

    I think there's still at least one other bug, but it's a bit elusive, and I haven't found the cause yet.

    I'll add localisation later too.

    Great that this has been updated.

    v0.67 throws up regular errors in parties, though, and doesn't work properly after that (people are in the list, but the background frame doesn't extend to cover them, etc.). New install of v0.67; all old saved variables deleted, USEng server/client.

    "TargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:486: Usage: UnitMana(\"unit\")\nTargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:486: in function `writeLine'\nTargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:437: in function `TC_WriteClassList'\nTargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:382: in function `TC_Write'\nTargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:342: in function `TC_WriteToFrame'\nTargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:273: in function `TC_Check'\nTargetCheck\\TargetCheck.lua:79: in function `TC_OnEvent'\n<string>:\"*:OnEvent\":1: in function [string \"*:OnEvent\"]:1"

    That's the single error that always occurs in parties. Hope it gets fixed.

    can you add an location.lua?

    Original:

    "Mage"; "Warlock"; "Rogue"; "warrior"; "Hunter"; "Priest"; "Druid"; "Paladin"; "Shaman"

    German Translation:

    "Magier"; "Hexenmeister"; "Schurke"; "Krieger"; "J\195\164ger"; "Priester"; "Druide"; "Paladin"; "Schamane"

    Nice addon works great for me!

    I've been looking for a mod that does this for AGES. Thanks!

  • pgl,

    You haven't been looking hard enough. Smart Assist displays similar list but not just for your target. It displays list of ALL targets party/raid is engaging and target tooltip has ofcourse list of players targetting that specific target ... :)

    Might be a bit overkill tough if this is all you need :)

    I've actually had a look at Smart Assist, and it's just way too overkill for me. I will have another look at it though, but TargetCheck looks like it should do the trick.

    Cheers for the pointer, though!

    Simple, efficient. Just what I needed. I tried Smart Assist but removed it a few days later.

    I have a request though to make it even better (for me !) : would it be possible, for each people targetting my target, to also display their current mana% ?

    As a healing priest this would be very useful to me !

    Ok, not sure what you need it for, but I added that function, in 0.63b1. I'll tweak that version a bit and upload 0.63 later I guess.

    can you add an option to display those that are not targeting your mob? say for example i want to filter it to only show mages, and if a mage isnt targetting the target we're dpsing, his/her name will appear so i know whos not paying attention.

    Added that too. You can toggle it per frame.

    Special circumstances=playing in a raid ;). Was using a bug recording mod to record the error: !BugGrabber & BugSack (from files.wowace.com).

    Cirk's Targetz--a mod similar to this one--also is pretty buggy. No other such mods compatible with WoW 2.3 I'm aware of. So would be nice to see TargetCheck become stable enough for raid usage.

    Great.

    One big thing, though. Line 243 already contains end;.

    So do you just add the following in place of what's existing on line 242 so that lines 242 to 246 look line this?:

    if unitClassList then
    table.insert(unitClassList, TC_UnitCreate(unitID));
    end;
    end;
    else

    Or do you add an additional "end" as you show above so that lines 242 to 247 look like this?:

    if unitClassList then
    table.insert(unitClassList, TC_UnitCreate(unitID));
    end
    end;
    end;
    else

    Oh, excellent :)

    Must be some race condition, this never happened to me. Maybe my computer is just too slow to get to that event before the class for other players is available. I'll upload a fixed version in a sec.
