TankadinTps

TankadinTps is a threat-analyzer for tanks. It records all threat you generated during a fight, without encounter specific gimmicks like aggro resets etc. When using FuBar the addon shows your current sustained tps, otherwise you can check this later in the details.

I developed this addon for my paladin, but other tanks in my guild wanted this tool too, so I added a warrior, druid and deathknight module.

I'd like to get feedback on the threat values for warriors and druids, because i don't have a level 80 char to test this.

Features

  • record your threat generating abilities for each mob
  • stop/resume this addon during a fight to get better values during different boss phases
  • see your sustained tps live (if you use FuBar)
  • record your incoming damage
  • share your data with other players

great mod , do you think there is anyway you can add a recount style screen to show each person in the raids sustained tps, would be helpful in situations where aggro is a problem to look and see why.

No, TankadinTps can't record the thread of other players and I didn't model the threat generation of non-tank classes.

A good rule of thumb is dps*0.7 for damage dealers, as most of them have a thread modificator.

  • It doesn't look like it's up to date for 3.1 Druids just yet.
Otherwise it's exactly what I was looking for.

I seem to get some sort of error message that doesn't mean anything to me.
Also in the damage taken section it shows 0% mitigated which is no longer the case for Druids with Savage Defense.

It still looks helpful but I was hoping to really see how much threat lacerate does in relation to everything else.

  • Is there a guide on how to use this someplace?
I tested it out on some world mobs and it's telling me that my lacerate does over 3 million tps. it's wiping all the other reading off the chart.

Was wondering if there was a setting I am missing?

I uploaded a new version (1.3) with tps values for dk's, warriors and some bugfixes for bears and paladins.

I'm not sure, if the warrior values are all correct, I took them from tankspot.

Do you need anything from DK's in particular to help you update the mod accordingly?

I added threat values according to a post on tankspot.com

I guess I can release a new version this week, and I'd be glad if the values will be tested and validated

First off, thank you very much for writing this addon, I've been wanting something like this for a long time.

It looks like rank 6 bear form Feral Faerie Fire is only generating threat from damage. I did a little digging in the code, and found that it was looking for spell ID 48476, which is the non-feral Faerie Fire while the spell actually being applied is 60089.

The threat value also seems to be a little low, changing "[48476] = 127," in TtpsDruid.lua to "[60089] = 631," generates numbers that seem to agree with what I'm actually seeing. I don't know if that's 100% accurate, but it's what I derived from Rawr's threat estimate, and it works in my limited tests.

thanks, this is fixed in 1.3 (every rank of ff does damage by spell 60089, so the addon adds threat for the aura applied (i.e. 48476) - this was broken and has been fixed)

Curse selects the last release version as default download and
I guess some people did not see the version 1.1 (beta) for WoW 3.0.

I marked the new version 1.2 as release, but the warrior and death knight modules are not complete.

I can hear ppl logging in but dont see it, no emotes.....Can I get some help with this? i really want to use this addon

  • I actualy did the real manuel download and copy and pasted into folder and all that and now its working fine, well my chat is havnt seen anything out of the addon...but havent been in a party yet. Looking forward to using it, looks good. Somthing very useful over omen due to knowing threat on multiple targets, being as I never use CC expecialy in 5 mans, i need to know threat all around me. If one is getting low this should allow me to tab over and sheild of rightous to get a jump
