Only for Mages!

This addon listens to the combatlog and its events to show a moveable progressbar which gives you an impression on how long your target will remain polymorphed. Tested with WoW Client version 3.1.0

-- FanDjango -- Main: Sawai Priest 80 -- Twinks: Grandcru Hunter 80 -- Magrophagus Mage 74 -- Leva Warrior 70

Use /sheep to configure

Also have a look at ShackleWatch for Priests/Priestesses!

Two sound files are included. You can replace them by your own - but the names must be the same, and the first one must be 10 seconds in duration. If you want to disable sound, use the config.

It is supposed to be small footprint. Low overhead, not a lot of stuff.

Use this macro and put it on a button to make a focused sheep. Then you can press the button to resheep even if your target is a different one:

  1. showtooltip

/clearfocus [modifier][target=focus,dead][target=focus,noexists] /focus [target=focus,noexists] /stopcasting /stopmacro [modifier:alt] /cast [target=focus] Polymorph|Verwandlung(use your language) /stopmacro [nogroup]

    For those wanting an alternative theres Afterlife Crowd Control, a addon i wrote and maintained for the last 2 years.

    As a raider in Ulduar and the new Icecrown I know crowd control is back in and addons like these are a must. Hope this helps, take care.

    Ok. It's official. Someone needs to take over this project. My WOW Account has expired and I no longer play. No more mage to do testing. I don't know how to turn this over to some one else, but perhaps he will just take the code and call it SheepWatch_II or something else that is new, and post in here where to find the new stuff.

    Sorry guys, but I've found a more rewarding game.

    Thanks for all your support and kudos.

  • I love this addon have been using it since it first came out. I have finally run into it not working anymore. With the new patch 3.2 it is not working right. Saying sheep end when its still sheeped and no longer has a time count down. Have you given up on this addon or is there a simple fix. I would love the help on this. If this is no longer being updated anyone know of another addon like this?

    I have tried it under 3.2

    You need to turn ON the counter, and drag the bar to a place where you can sse it. That's what happened to me, somehow. But after doing this, it works.
    I tried sheeping and "pigging" things in WotLK territory for this.

    Any chance that u can add Hex spell tracker for shamans?

    Bug reports:
    1. Sometimes wheni resheep bar doesnt refresh, just disappear. I have to resheep again and then he shows up.

    2. When some other mage resheep my target i have anounce that that mage broken my sheep. Can we have anouncements that this sheep was resheeped by different player and his name? (mage1 sheeped mage2 target)

    There seems to be a problem with the addon not recognizing the mage re-polymorphing the target when a different polymorph spell than the one originally used is cast. I use a random polymorph macro, and if i turn the target into a turtle, then just before that runs out, turn them into a rabbit, the addon won't track the second polymorph.

    Sorry to ninja this thread but this little mage is looking for an addon or a macro that can change which form the target gets polyed into. I have sheep, penguin & rabbit but can't select which gets used. Any help here?

    Thanks

    Maybe put a macro on a key and use the random function? or set three keys and then use a macro different one for each?

    Dear FanDJango.
    Thanks for this add-on.
    I just noted 2 mistakes in the french localization.
    The correct spelling are
    SHEEPWATCH_TEXT_WHODIDIT = "Sheep ouvert, c'etait"
    and
    SHEEPWATCH_LABEL_ANNOUNCE_WHO = "Qui a ouvert?"

    Best regards.

    I have DBM on also. I will check it out, but I thought there should be no interaction...

    Sorry guys, RL was heavy for a spell.
    Please test 30015 for Rabbit.

    I added "My_mage_better_than_yours" suggestions too, about not disabling.

    Please check it out.

  • how to fix this yourself:

    1) with wordpad, open the file \World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\SheepWatch\SheepWatch.lua

    2) go to line 642 and put "--" (without the quotes) at the beginning of the line. The -- has the effect of turning the code into a comment so that the line is no longer executed.

    3) go to line 645 and 646 and do the same thing.

    you should now have something that looks like:

    -- If we don't get a rank, we disable ourself.
    -- DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(SHEEPWATCH_TEXT_NORANK);
    DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("RANK = " .. rank);

    -- SHEEPWATCH.STATUS = 0;
    -- SheepWatch_Settings.status = 0;

    restart WoW, for one last time enable sheepwatch, log out, log in and it's no longer disabled upon login.

    (I thought it's a silly feature for the addon to disable itself)
