About

SexyCooldowns is a logarithmic cooldown bar. What's that, you say? Well, most timer bars you're used to are linear. That is, the distance between 0 seconds and 10 seconds is the same as the distance between 50 seconds and 60 seconds. A logarithmic cooldown bar is somewhat different - it represents cooldowns on a compressed timeline, so that cooldowns that are closer to being ready are represented as more active on the bar. This lets you represent a large amount of data on a single bar, and have it remain useful.

In short, SexyCooldown is a single consolidated timer bar for all your spell, pet's spell, item, and proc cooldowns, as well as buffs, debuffs, and totem timers. It's very flexible, and can be customized to fit into your UI as best you see fit.

Features

  • Spawn as many bars as you want, and show the specific information you want on each.
  • Supports spell and talent cooldowns, explicit and internal item cooldowns, buffs on you, debuffs on you, and debuffs on your target or focus.
  • Very highly configurable look and feel. Build bars that will fit into any UI.
  • Bars may be oriented horizontally or vertically, and move in either direction.
  • Extensible - can support virtually any kind of timer. Currently works as a cooldown, buff, and debuff timer, but the possibilities are endless.

Demo

Here you can see that I have set up three separate bars, one for my cooldowns at the bottom, one for short buffs on me (<45 seconds) above my unit frame, and one for my debuffs on my target above the target unit frame.

Completely unrelated, but what's that addon that shows your energy bar and combo points on top of your unit frame?

  • Nice addon, but how do you delete a bar you created. I can't seem to be able to delete
    bars.

  • Hello,

Maybe I've overlooked it, but going through the options I can't find a way to adjust the opacity of the Splash nor a way to adjust the Y axis of the icons as they countdown.

What I'd like to do is when a cool down enters the Splash area, is to be able to control the Opacity (Alpha) which it fades out at, instead of it always fading gradually to 0, I'd like to have the option of it staying at full opacity then just disappearing.

and when cool downs are making their way down the timer path I'd like to be able to set the icons above (and/or below) the timer line.

If these options already exist could you point out what I'm over looking, and if they don't exist, do you have plans for to include these options?

Love the addon and works great on my toons. One thing though. Is there a way I can change the default straight bar with a curved one (kind like a hud) ?
If there is not is there a possibility you can add this in the future ?

  • Having a slight issue with this add-on on my shaman. Whenever i am in combat with this add on active my totem bar will not allow me to change what totem i have selected, it seems to lock my totem bar until at least a minute after i get out of combat. The only things i have it tracking on my shaman is CD's and buffs on myself. Is there a solution for this i really liked the add-on and would like to continue using it on my shaman.

I'm having a bit of an issue. I have this all set up on one of my toons and it works fine. I go onto another toon and copy the profile of the first toon and it works great until I log out or /rl. What happens is the size and positioning reset to the default, but the other settings stay the same. Any help?

  • How do you un-blacklist a buff/debuff?

I can't seem to get my Immolate to show up on this bar with my Warlock.

    Am I doing something wrong?

I've been resisting the idea of using any debuff monitors because of their bulky size and terribly ugly multiple bars. This addon is sensible, neat, flexible and of course SEXY! Thank you so much for it.

Have a question though, is there any reason why Mangle isn't displayed under 'My debuffs on target'? I do realize it shows up in 'All debuffs on target' though but would love it to be shown up independently along with all my other druid debuffs.

Are there any plans to include a 'white list' of debuffs/buffs perhaps?

Either way, cheers to you for making such a great addon! /salute

Your add-on rule! Thanks for this truly superb add-on! It helps to track my cool downs in a sexy way, lol... furthermore, I have two bars, just to ensure I don't miss my procs, and my cooldowns and missing buffs. I love the animation too, lol! Keep up the good work! :D

  • Great addon.

I am trying to Hide() Show() the bares that i have setup and can not figure out the correct syntax. Interface shows the frame as SexyCooldownBar 0, but when I try:
/script SexyCooldownBar 0:Hide() it throws an error (string "SexyCooldownBar 0:Hide()"]:1: '=' expected near '0'). Any help would be appreciated.

Love this addon. Makes monitoring everything during a focus intensive fight that much easier. Is there a way to adjust the opacity of the icon? I can't seem to find the option is there is one? If there isn't, any chance that it might get implemented?

Manual icon opacity isn't supported, as the bar manages icon opacity when two or more buffs overlap.

I would like to use this addon to track my Beacon of Light. Unfortunately, I do not always have my Beacon on my focus or my current target... but I would still like it to track it. Is there a way to configure this? So far, I'm not having any luck. Ty for a great addon :)

    I think I've spotted a small bug.
Use Inner Focus(3 min). Cast Power Word:Shield(4 sec). Only PW:S will pop up on the bar, until I use PW:S again, and IF's remaining duration pops onto the bar.
Tested it with Mind Blast(5.5 sec) too, with the same results.

Interestingly, it doesn't happen with my Berserking/Haste Pot macro - being a macro, the two events occur very, very slightly one after the other, this seems to be an issue with casting a cooldown spell that consumes a cooldown buff - someone with a paladin might want to see if they can replicate it with Divine Favor/Holy Shock.
It's not game-breaking, and for priests, who'll be popping short cooldowns all over the place not a problem, but there's probably classes/specs this might be more noticeable on.

Yeah, that's likely due to a side effect of SexyCooldown's "One cast, one buff shown" code. That exists to prevent things like all of a DK's abilities going onto cooldown when runes are used up - it detects the last cast, and puts that on cooldown, rather than anything that just happened to go onto cooldown at that time.

    Great addon!
But I'm missing two ICD-s: Lock and Load (for hunters) and the Ashen ban reputation ring procs.
