  • About Scorchio! 2
  •  

Scorchio! 2 tracks Improved Scorch, Winter's Chill, Shadow Mastery, Torment the Weak, Living Bomb, Slow and Polymorph on multiple mobs, as cast by multiple mages, and gives you warnings and notifications when the debuffs need reapplying, or have expired completely. It also tracks Hot Streak, Arcane Blast, Missile Barrage, Clearcasting, Mirror Image, Fingers of Frost and Brain Freeze on the mage and keep track of how long your Water Elemental has left!

It is the continuation of Scorchio! and replaces that addon.

Use /scorchio2, or the Blizzard Addons Configuration window to configure Scorchio! 2

KNOWN ISSUES WITH Patch 3.3
- Missile Barrage and Hot Streak are reportedly not being tracked. I am looking into this.

Still To Do

Add numerical icons.
Add casting spark so you can see if someone else is casting to reapply the buff.
Warn if Winter's Chill is on a mob when you start to cast Scorch.
Look at tracking similar "collaborative debuffs" for other classes.

Known Issues

* Sometimes bars will be slow to appear. The timers are still correct though, and the warnings should be accurate.
* If you kill a mob within the last 0.25 seconds of a vulnerability time, the "Vulnerability Faded" message will be played.

    3.3.2 did not fix combat log events at all,looks like pleas with blizz went on deaf ears, have to continue using SCT hack for now :(

    I turned on the Floating combat text like it was said to do to track Missile Barrage but it is still not working.

    Any fix for this?

    Else the missile barrage bar wouldn't disappear should you cast arcane missiles b4 buff time is over.

    BTW, I've added a Spanish (esES) localization file and a workaround for making it work in Spanish clients... Too bad this workaround doesn't work in English clients as well, have to figure out some way to parse using locales.

    Hope ennuig is back soon, love your addon man!

    strange. Barrage hack has always worked for me that's why i included it in r64. It works flawless in fact on my end. Cancels as intended :) I've been so busy on DBM development with blood council and blood queen mods and new range checker functions I didn't have time to look into brain freeze, especially since i only raid on mage on alt run and well, what mage raids frost? :)

    BTW Mysticalos, I do raid frost, at least for mob pulling - there are some bosses as well where frost is a nice alternative, really few of them nonetheless -.

    No news about combat log changes in this patch, are they?

    Forgot to say... I didn't get Brain Freeze... it's a dps loss anyway. So u'r right, not even frost raiding mages do use it, Je suppose ;)

    i used to use frost for a heroic general vezax form but yeah, brain freeze is dps loss, all the frost dps specs suggest that using it is a dps loss from just casting another frost bolt with a high chance to crit or completing a shatter combo.

  • the r64 version is so bad. living bomb/scorch not being tracked all the time, pyroblast timer delayed when used. it's just so bad. the maker of the original scorchio needs to get his ass here and fix it.

    I've donwnloaded the r64 version and it's not working for me even with all the options in combat text. Could it be becouse it's a non english version? (spanish).

    actually that's quite possible. it uses a text match from the SCT so it probably woudln't work on non english clients. personally i hope blizz fixes the combat log in next minor patch so SCT method can be removed and all will be well again. then all I'd leave in there is the spell damage debuff tracking :)

    Your addon is great compared to other addons, but since 3.3 patch I had to replace it with ClassTimer. SCT is so annoying and what JasperKazai said it actually works pretty well, but there's still no track for Brain Freeze.
    I wonder how ClassTimer was not affected by this bug... I'm assuming it tracks the buffs and not procs or something (I have no lua experience to judge).
    So, isn't it possible for you to go that way too?

    PS: Tracking Ice Block would be lovely for PvP btw.

    Having 2 problems with the r64 version. First is sometimes living bomb does not register as being cast. Secondly hot streak after casting the pyroblast takes a second or two to fade. In that time if you get another hot streak Scorchio won't register it. I knew I had a second one because magealert (which I also use) would proc for it.
