  • About RuneHUD

RuneHUD is a simple addon that moves the runes of your DK to make them a HUD (Heads Up Display). The runes are click through which means they don't intercept mouse clicks.

RuneHUD have OmniCC support, will be hidden when in a vehicle and the individual runes will fade when on cooldown!

RuneHUD now also have it's own slash commands, yes even though I said it would never happen it has now!

Slash command list:
/rh or /runehud - Gives a list of available commands
/rh s <scale> - Scaling, needs to be a number greater than 0
/rh aoc <alpha> - Out of combat alpha, needs to be a number between 0 and 1
/rh aic <alpha> - Alpha in combat, needs to be a number between 0 and 1
/rh aiv <alpha> - Alpha when in a vehicle, needs to be a number between 0 and 1
/rh hoc <true/false> - Cooldown fading, either true or false

    Just wondering, I like the whole setup of this add-on, but I can't get over how small the runes are. I'm currently using Yury's Rune Display because I can make the runes bigger, but if there was some way to make the runes bigger in RuneHUD I would immediately switch over... In the future could you possibly change the add-on so it would give a scale option?

    If you open the RuneHUD.lua file found in the RuneHUD folder the tenth line is:
    local s = 1.2 -- Scale of the RuneFrame (this have to be at least 1.2 to support OmniCC)
    Change 1.2 to something bigger than 1.2 to make the frame bigger. There isn't and never will be any in-game config for this addon so this is the only way you could do it by.

    Ok... I know what your telling me to do but how do I get INTO the file so I can edit it?

    Also, 3.2 came out today, so you might need to update it for bugs or something now.

    Open it with any text editor, notepad works just fine.
    And there's no bugs to fix since they didn't change anything I use in the addon in this patch.

    Could you please make an option to arange the runes in whatever way the user likes?

    I wanted my runes Verticaly, on top one of the other, so i could place them beside my char.

    I won't move the runes in any other way than it is right now. But you can always try to play around with the locations yourself. Just open the lua file (preferably with an editor that supports highlightning like Notepad++ but pretty much any text editor will work) found in the addon folder and change the coordinates for the different runes.
