  • About Reputation Session Tracker
  •

Reputation Tracker shows how much your reputation with factions changes during a session. Perfect for those times when you're farming faction rep. It now tracks any and all rep changes, even those that do not trigger reputation change events.

For each faction your rep changes with you will see:

  • The amount of reputation gained or lost
  • Your current standing
  • Percentage into your current standing
  • Exact remaining reputation to get to the next standing

The 'current standing' report fades in when you mouse over the mod, and hides when you don't to conserve screen space. It also will highlight your standing and rep remaining with different colors depending on the current value.

The totals are reset whenever you log out of your character.

The configuration screen has several options:

  • Ignoring losing rep for hated factions
  • Adjusting the display font size.
  • Reseting the totals

All slash commands have been implemented here for easier use and control.

However, if you still want to use the existing slash commands, you can type /RST or /RepTrackerHelp to see a list of slash commands available. Currently though new options are only available in the configuration screen.

Sorry I hadn't gotten a chance to work on this yet. Things have mostly settled down for me finally so I'll see if I can't take a look at it here in the next week or so.

Is there an ETA on a fix for the inactive reputations filling the list the first time you gain some rep problem? I can get it back down to the ones that I'm actually factioning with by clearing the list after the first faction gain (they don't fill it back up again until next login). It's not a horrible imposition, but I would prefer that it just work without my intervention. And I don't really want to put the 26 reputations that I'm done with back into the list to clutter it all up.

Ok here we go, uploading new version with TOC for 3.2 and couple minor fixes to the GUI positioning. See change log for more details.

Great addon! How do I reset the window position? I pushed it to the top of the screen out of reach with the mouse? I need to reposition the window, but cannot grab it. Please help?

That's a good question chargerboy, I don't think there is a simple way to do that right this moment.

I'm going to update it to 3.2 today, I'll see if I can toss in something for this. It shouldn't be too difficult.

Great mod, does exactly what i was looking for :) One question though, why does it show so damn many factions as soon as i gain rep ? I did the argent tournament stuff and it showed me like 20 factions..im not sure what for example ratchet has to do with it ? Plus i think it said i had gained 24k rep with them..

Also it seemed it added factions if i opened my characters reputation tab..dunno why. Other than that it works really good :) Would be nice with LDB integration though ;)

    I noticed a few things:

All the factions that appear when they shouldnt are marked as inactivated in my reputation tab, if i activate them again they do not show up in rep tracker.

If i have an inactivated faction that im neutral with, it does not show up.

Extra note on how it works, the tracker scans all your factions at startup and stores the information. Then whenever certain events fire from the game, it scans all factions again and prints the differences to the screen.

That might explain why I haven't seen this problem myself. I have done a bunch of the argent dailies and never saw this, but I don't have any factions marked as inactive.

Sorry that I didn't reply sooner, I'm in the process of moving to a new address and haven't had much time for anything not moving related :/

I'll poke around with this as soon as I can but I can't promise it won't be a few weeks before I get this fixed. Sounds like a pretty solid way for me to reproduce this though, so hopefully once I can get some time it should be a quick fix.

ahh, 5 days is a fast reply time ;) Im usually happy if i get a response within a year or so.

I understand that moving is way more important, so good luck, it can be quite strenous ;)
I just removed everything from inactivated and it works like a charm, so i can wait, just u get settled in ur new address in peace:)

Delphinus87 and vebjogb, sorry I didn't see your comments sooner.

The L and U button is for locking the addon in place so you cannot accidentally move it with an errant mouse click-drag. If the button says 'L' then you can drag the add-on to wherever you like on the screen, if it says 'U' then it is 'locked-in-place' and clicking/draging on the title bar will do nothing. Maybe I should replace the button text with an icon...

Hope that helps with your first question.

Your other questions Delphinus87, I have thought about making it more long term for tracking the rep and saving data between log outs but haven't done any work towards this yet.

A estimated time-to-level is very difficult to be accurate, conceivably it would be nice but there are lots of different variables to try and juggle with this. That's why I settled for just flat amounts of rep, and let the user estimate them self how long it will take based on their play style.

The addon is fantastic and I love it but - its in the middle of my screen and I can't seem to move it for some reason. I see nothing in the controls that may help. Any suggestions?

  • Also, a setting to disable the fading of the addon would be appreciated

Again, thanks, i love the addon

  • Ive been using this addon for a few days, and am confused about what the "L" and "U" button's function is. It doesn't seem to do anything to me atm.

Also, some suggestions, it would be great if:
    a) Rep changes would not be deleted each time you log out, and
    b) if it could display the amount of time (days?) it will take to achieve the next level of standing at the current rep earned per day.

i don't know how difficult this would be, but still, great addon =D

Oh, ok then its working fine. :) yes I use it cause it is easier sometimes due to my lower res to hide the window and use the text

    Hey Enigma,

I wasn't sure if anyone was still using the text summary report so it currently doesn't work with the new tracking system.

Shouldn't be too difficult for me to finish support for it.

You 2.01 still only says "no rep gained" when I gain rep. The box shows correct amount but the reporting to text does not seem to work correctly.
