Usage:
Bind a key from the keybinding menu or...
"/rc mount" to choose a random mount
"/rc mount ground" to choose a random ground mount in a flyable zone
"/rc pet" to choose a random vanity pet
"/rc autorecall" to toggle automatically recalling your vanity pet after resurrecting, changing zones, or taking flight paths
"/rc randomrecall" to toggle recalling a random vanity pet after resurrecting, changing zones, or taking flight paths
"/rc dismiss" to dismiss your current vanity pet
"/rc autodismiss" to toggle automatically dismissing your vanity pet when you are stealthed and flagged for PVP

First off I love the add-on and makes summoning mounts and pets easy and worry free. Thank you for the addition to the weight scale to the pet window.

I am using a macro to dismiss my for to mount and a macro for pet summons but I was wondering if I can improve it by having a button1 and button2 function to this macro. I'm trying to have the macro left click for / rc mount and right click for /rc ground mount. For the pet macro I just want to left click /rc pet and right click /rc dismiss. I have looked over a few sites but it seems i can add a button modifier to a slash command unless it is casting or using an item.

If you could help I would appreciate it

This will be added in the next version. When 1.7.2 shows up, you will be able to do /rc [button:1] mount; [button:2] pet

My sliding bar for rating the importance of mounts and pets has disappeared since I updated my version. Any suggestions how to turn this back on?

There's not any way to turn it off, so I assume you're getting an error when the addon loads. Turn on LUA errors (Interface/Help/Display LUA errors) and see if anything comes up.

I believe I've found the problem (as well as fixed a couple of other items), so watch for version 1.7.1 very soon.

Getting an error in 3.2.1 on load:

    [2009/10/16 10:54:52-55-x1]: RandomCompanion-1.7\RandomCompanion.lua:1066: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)
    RandomCompanion-1.7\RandomCompanion.lua:128: in function <Interface\AddOns\RandomCompanion\RandomCompanion.lua:122>

Additional errors when I attempt to use the addon.

I'll take a look into it, and post a new version if I find a problem.

I've used this addon for a while. I'm a casual pet collector and often forget to summon my pets, so the recall feature is greatly appreciated! Particularly the on login one. Thanks a lot for developing it. :)

Make sure you have "Load out-of-date" addons checked. 3.2 changed the TOC interface number, so WoW thinks the addon is out of date, but it works just fine.

I love this addon, its great!
Is there a way to change cast mounts, for example Not using my Mammoth in a city? I am horde and i cannot fit though most doors while on the mammoth. I love my mammoth and dont want to disable it, but i just dont want it to use a mammoth in town... is that possible?

    Thanks

    Hello,

First of all thanks for this great addon.

However, I have a problem with it. I just got my Rusted Proto-Drake but it is not recognized as a 310% flyer. Every time I use /RandomMount, one of the other 310% flyers are summoned (the Black Proto-Drake and the Plagued Proto-Drake). Also, when I load the addon, the following message is displayed:

RandomCompanion 1.6.1 loaded with 2 extreme flyers, 24 swift flyers, 3 slow flyers, 53 swift grounders, 18 slow grounders, 3 bugs, 70 critters. Vanity pets will be automatically re-summoned when possible.

So, apparently only 2 extreme flyers are recognised.

Yep, looks like I overlooked the new Ulduar mounts. I'll have them added as extreme flyers in the next version.

I'm looking forward to it. Any ETA on the next version? :)

    Thanks!

I don't know if this has been asked before, but could the autorecall function also summon the last used companion when logging on to the game?

That should be doable. I'll look into adding that to the next version.

    Hi,

you've created a great addon. My pet is now always on my side. :)

I've found some localization-errors (deDE), which I already posted to CurseForge. Do you look there at all, or should i have just posted a comment here?

    Besides:
Wouldn't it be easier to rely on LibBabble or something like that?

Thanks! I've added in Krasus' Landing and Underbelly to the German localization based on your post. It'll be in the next version.

I would like to find instructions on how to weight the pets and mounts. I can find none here nor in the files of in game instructions.

See this post for how to edit the SavedVariables file: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/randomcompanion.aspx?CommentPage=2#352605

Alternatively, if you want to change a mount's or pet's weight in-game, you can do this:
    /script RandomCompanion.SetWeight("Snowy Gryphon", 10)
    /rcreload

Make sure the mount's name is properly capitalized.

At some point, I'll get the GUI all figured out, but until then, this is the only way to do it.
