Raid Wipe Fault

This addon finds fault for the raid wipe. It selects a member of the raid and lets everyone in the raid know who is at fault. It does this both randomly and comically. It also allows for you to modify the comments tables.

Installation

Standard addons installation

Instructions

Finding Wipe Fault (RAID)

1. Be in a raid group 2. Type /rwf

Finding Wipe Fault (GROUP)

1. Be in a group 2. Type /gwf

Not In Zone

This feature finds the current zone of the selected raid member and lists out to the raid the members who are NOT in that zone.

1. Target a raid member 2. Type /niz

AFK Check

Checks members of the raid for AFK 1. Be in a raid 2. Type /rafk

Raid Roles

Lists the roles of the raid members 1. Be in a raid 2. Type /rr

Notes

I added more put-downs to the raid and group wipe generator with version 1.03. I also added a few new functions listed above. Enjoy!

I am new to this whole WoW addon scripting. There are some things I'll be working one. Please give me some suggestions!

    Is this still updated anymore? Whenever I try to use it it does absolutely nothing.

    Hmmm...works for me and friends. Be in a group and type /gwf. In a raid, type /rwf, /rr, /rafk, /niz (with someone targeted).

    Is this addon real? Or does it just randomly pic a person to yell it?

  • Umbridge said

    It randomly picks someone in a lighthearted manner. It pokes fun at them for wiping the raid. It also works for a group. Example:

    The NERD RAGE Committee declares that Keahi234 is at fault for wiping the raid. You may be a good Shaman in Azuremyst Isle, but you may want your little sister to play next time!

    IMPORTANT: Uploaded 1.04 tonight. The /gwf was not working properly. It was selecting the last peron in the group every time. Please take a look at another add-on I created called "emote reply".

    I was trying to add a function similar to /niz, but for a group instead of a raid. I couldn't find a "unit" related function to get a player's current zone (besides the raid function). Do any of you have an idea on this?

    You can totally remove the CURRENTLANG variable from your code. If you omit the language argument, it uses the default language for your faction. (If you were whispering a player or sending a message to a numbered chat channel, then you would need to enter nil in place of this argument so you can get to the channel/playername argument. The second "RAID" is the argument in which you would specify a channel name or player name for "CHANNEL" or "WHISPER" chat type arguments, so you can omit that as well.

    instead of:
    ** SendChatMessage("message","RAID",CURRENTLANG,"RAID"); **
    use:
    ** SendChatMessage("message","RAID"); **

    Thank you very much. I implemented the changes and it seems to work just fine.

  • This is set for alliance only.. you need to change "common" to "orcish" for horde in the RaidWipeFault.lua

    I made the change with the new release (forgot to change the version number).

    CURRENTLANG = COMMON; --for alliance
    CURRENTLANG = ORCISH; --for horde

    I don't know any horde, so nobody will probably trust me enough to go into a raid group with me. If you wouldn't mind checking the cose that would be awesome.

  • Yes, it does work on horde side by changing this.
