  • About qImmunityClock
  •

Intended for warlocks and priests, qImmunityClock detects when hostile targets become immune to fear-type spells (through buffs, trinkets, Will of the Forsaken, etc) and displays a timer under the target frame showing how much longer the immunity will last, followed by the cooldown period. A separate window tracks immunity timers on up to five different targets. See readme for full details.

v1.0 - initial version
v1.0a - original zip file was missing path info. 1.0a includes the qImmunityClock directory to simplify installation.
v1.1 - Adds detection of Warrior's Berserker Rage and DeathWish stances (thanks to data provided by LyByDose!)
v1.2 - Minor bugfixes
v1.3 - Minor change to reflect Will of the Forsaken duration reduction
v1.4 - Fixes nil variable errors caused when the enemy (usually a paladin) is too high for the player to detect the enemy's level.
v1.5 - Update the toc file for 1.9 patch, some minor tweaks under the hood.

v2.0 - Updated for Burning Crusade Beta
v3.0 - Updated to include Rogue Cloak of Shadows, removed floating tracking window
V4.0 - Support for patch 2.4, added timer window for the Focus as well as the target (works best if you use FocusFrame to display the focus), made timer windows draggable
V30000 - Numbering scheme changed to match WoW patches. Updated for 3.0.2. Isn't aware of some new 3.0.2 anti-fear events yet (like Every Man for Himself). Added an options panel in Game Menu | Interface | AddOns

  • I would also like just the CD's for my current target listed. The other's are mostly useless to me.

  • Is it possible to remove the large box that contains all current cooldowns? I like to target someone and just have their CD's listed.

  • I'm glad you liked the idea, this will become more neccesary in the future when EVERY rogue gets the talent. Please come back to update it later!

perrfection1, good idea. I figured I'd do that this week until the patch came and changed rogue talents. It's going to be tough to test it now the Cloak of Shadows became a high-level learnable skill we can't access yet. :(

  • Hi, I was wondering if you could add in Cloak of Shadows to this mod. It seems like it would not require much work given the nature of the mod, simply treating the 90% resist as an immunity. Granted it would not be able to pick it up if the rogue uses it before he engages combat, but most rogues use it after a series of stuns. It would be great to perfectly time a fear or deathcoil with the passing of CoS. THANKS! LONG TIME FAN OF THE MOD!

Looks like another curse-gaming bug. The link was working, now it's not. I just tried creating a new link with a slightly different name. We'll see if that works.

  • I really lvor the Idea of this addon, and now I am wonderinf if it is possible for you to make another addon (or add to this one) that times the cooldowns of many other abilities, such as Shaman shock spells, and many other useful cooldown spells that would want to be known that I cannot think off the top of my head.

I'm getting an error message whenever an Paladin bubbles up near me. the addon works otherwise correctly.

The message goes as follows: Interface\AddOns\qImmunityClock\qImmunityClock.lua:420: attempt to compare number with nil

(the ability i mean with bubble is "Divine Shield")

I love your addon and would love to see this problem fix, its really distracting in Arathi Basin because all they throw at us is Pallydans =)

    Warriors have two fear-immune abilities:

Berserker Rage - 10 second duration (16 with talents, few warriors have this spec though), 30 second cooldown. Death Wish - 30 second duration, 3 minute cooldown.

Combat messages are simply "Soandso gains Berserker Rage." and "Soandso gains Death Wish.", and they function like buffs rather than shapeshift/stances. I don't know what the lost text is.

You might also want to track dwarf priest "fear ward". It's an instant cast spell that makes the target immune to the next fear cast on them. The spell itself has a 30 second cooldown, and has text "Soandso gains fear ward." Once you see an "immune" message on the person, the fear immunity is gone. I'm not sure if there is a lost text on this.

Did you have any luck on berserker stance Quel? Also, will this work for diminishing returns on fear?

Thanks for a great add on!

I forwarded this to all of our guild priests. But I was wondering if there was any way it could be converted to show immunity timers for physical attacks. Being a rogue, my targets usually have Power Word: Shield, or something to that effect. There are also multiple potions that cause a temporary immunity. If there is something else like that already, please let me know. Thanks

Totems are always going to be a problem since their responses vary from standard immunity spells. As mentioned in the readme file, I'm still working on improving how qIC "guesses" when the user didn't capture a clear immunity event (like gaining divine shield or will of the forsaken). But, I'm not sure it's going to ever get much better than it is now.

Since the shaman totems in question affect their entire party, and since there's no way to detect who is grouped with whom, a troll warrior saved by his shaman's grounding totem will always be guessed as "trinket?" by qIC because I have found no way to trace link the warrior to the shaman. Since a troll warrior doesn't have any other known immunity spells, it could either be a trinket or a shaman totem. If you weren't in range to catch the usuage message on the trinket, there appears to be no way to ever pick between the two. At least you are alerted that something is non-standard and can adjust your tactics accordingly.

I'm doubtful that I will ever be able to clear immunity when the totem is destroyed. First, I haven't been able to capture any message when the totem is destroyed. Second, even if I did, I haven't found anyway to associate that totem with a specific shaman or party member. If you destroy the totem, there's no way to tell which shaman had cast it (and absolutely no way to figure out who is grouped with the shaman and no longer immune).

So, I took the tactic of erring on the side of caution and reporting everything that comes up immune, even if you didn't get catch good data about what the PvP target is doing.

    Ideas? Suggestions?

  • It listed the grounding totem as a possible Trinket. And i'd like for it to clear when i kill the totem, It continues to list them as immune.

qIC already tracks: Divine Shield, Divine Protection, Will of the Forskaen, Glimmering Mithril Insignia trinket, Warlock's Sacrifice, Ice Block and Grounding Totems. It can't detect Tremor Totems (which don't cause resistance, but do clear fear effects), and it doesn't yet know about the Warrior stance.

    Thanks,

  • how about make it include paladins' divine shield too? it's a sort of immunity which is a pain in the ass... a timer would actually help casters know when to start a timed cast for it to end right when the shield breaks too.
