  • About nDragIt
  •

What is it?
NDragIt allows you to grab onto a frame and move it around. When the frame is closed, it is reset back to its original position.

What frames can I move?
All of the standard UI frames are now draggable, such as: Character, Spellbook, Trade, Social, Mail, Auction, Battlefield Score, Quest, Loot, Trade, Merchant, Stable, Guild Bank

In addition, a couple of annoying addons are now draggable: Ludwig, Lootlink, DBM

hiya, love the addon, but why has the config screens been removed? they were handy for makeing custom frames moveable. will they be re-implemented at some point?

So now that you're back, I'm curious; does nDragIt's newest release have any advantage over DragEmAll? More stable, maybe? Unless you've just bumped the .toc, I'm curious if your addon might work better.

2.0 is pretty much a rewrite: rock -> ace3, removed all configuration.

nDragIt and DragEmAll are functionally similar, however have completely different implementations.

Sorry folks... I've abandoned WoW for WAR...

Anyone is welcome to take this over - send me a PM and I'll add you as a co-author or give you ownership.

Just found DragEmAll which according to it's description was inspired by NDragIt. Haven't tried it myself yet, but I thought I would mention it just in case anyone was interested.

  • Do any other addons exist that perform this functionality? I'll find it hard to abandon the ability to drag any window out of the way at will, but right now this addon is pushing my achievement window up slightly off the top of my screen.

  • The author has abandoned all of his WoW addons it seems. His focus has shifted over to Warhammer. Can anyone take it over or give us a fan update for 3.0.2?

  • 3.0.2 made several changes in the coding from what I can see. Namely one thing is whenever I have NDragit enabled the guild bank tabs and the Auction House tabs are moved up into the middle of their windows. There aren't any error messages when this happens though.

  • Any chance of a 3.0.2 update soon?

Works fine with one exception... instead of opening the windows at their default location, it opens them to the extreme top of my screen.... good thing I can still move them.

You can configure/disable that via the /ndragit options.

I like them right at the top because I have my unit frames right down the bottom.

Nihlo: frame location storage is not the purpose of this addon; I wrote this one because there are many out there that do store positions, and I specifically wanted an addon that didn't store positions.

I suggest you try out this addon:

I don't have a hunter, but I should be able to borrow one to fix this up.

    I'll get back to you...

I'm not entirely sure what the source of this bug is, but I suspect nDragIt, so I'll post it. When you switch to the pet tab on the character screen with a hunter, the character's picture in the circle at the top left of the screen remains stationary, while the rest of the frame can be freely moved around. The tabs themself are also stationary, and disconnected from the rest of the frame.

(I'm just glad I don't really like my new hunter, cuz I think this would really bug me otherwise)
