  •

This is a PowerMeter that gives you a "speedometer" view on several different attributes (from version 1.4 and above). You can measure AttackPower, Healing Power, and all kinds of spell damages.

For help on setting up the PowerMeter, type /powermeter in the chat console.

What is he measuring? What class is he playing?

  • I've gone beyond redline. I'm a tauren druid and usually measure spellpower. If I go from caster to Boomkin, the needle would go from red to green. I think I could do it with Tree, too.

Doesn't show ranged ap - so no joy for hunters.
Should be able to be scaled depending on ui size.

Otherwise it would really be great.

Hello! Version 1.9 is going through the review process at Curse right now. As soon as it is available, you can use /powermeter ranged to get ranged ap.

  • I had the thing sort of reset. I set it to healing power, and it registers in the red a bit under 20000 while I'm in my caster form. When I switched to tree, the needle went past max and back into the green.

And is it supposed to remain static like that? I had hoped it would be a dps/hps meter that looked like a speedometer. Thanks anyways.

Hey guys. I have given this some thought now. As you know there is an abundance of DPS, HPS and TPS meters available out there, and their purpose slightly differs from this. The main purpose of PowerMeter is to be able to pick a good moment to use timeouts. Recount allready does a groovy job with DPS, HPS and TPS, and I really don't see any point in reinventing the wheel. Thanks for the input though, and good luck with your gaming!

Very great add-on. I use it always on fraps (lol)

"You see my Attack Power? That's just like Horse Power, I can out-dps every1. Cars can out-run every1. hehe."

    But uhmmm.. Just a quick Review;
It scales Fine. No need for re-scale. The coloring is good done. Despite the look, it seems the triggers for the add-on also work without leaks. (Digged into .lua file / scanned with a program all the text.)

If we can scale it would be great too.

Absolutely dynamic scaling is hard to achieve (rotating textures, texts etc), but I will see if there is something that can be done.

  • Oh wow, the art turned out great! You did a really good job with that! :D

I was playing around with it some more last night, and thought of two possible functions you could add: A "Lock" function, and a "Reset" function to put it back on screen somewhere. As you might be able to tell, I accidentally dragged it off screen. ><

Thx m8! Good luck with Hogger :)

  • If you are a class who cannot utilize it (IE: Fury Warrior), then yes it is useless to you. Move on.
