  • About PallyPower
  •

Pally Power is an add-on that provides an interactive and easy to use interface that allows you to control assignments of blessings for yourself and, if you are a party leader or an assistant, for other paladins in your group or raid. You don't need to be a paladin to control raid/party blessings.

Buff button controls are:
Aura button:
    Mouse Scroll = change aura
RF button:
    Left click = cast RF
    Right click = cast seal
    Shift + Mouse scroll = RF on/off
    Mouse scroll = change seal
Auto-button:
Left click = 30 minute buff, auto-target people w/o buff or low buff time remaining
Right click = 10 minute buff, auto-target people w/o buff or low buff time remaining, buff either the same as class or personal if assigned
Class buttons:
Left click = 30 minute buff, auto target
Right click = 10 minute buff, auto target
    Mouse scroll = change buff
Shift + mouse scroll = change buffs for all classes
Player buttons:
Left click = 30 minute buff, targets the person you click
Right click = 10 minute buff, targets the person you click, buff either the same as class or personal if assigned
Mouse scroll = change personal 10-minute buff

In combat all auto-targetting and buff selection features are disabled and player buttons are the only way to re-cast blessings.
To access PallyPower blessing assignment interface please use either a command "/pp config" or Broker_PallyPower add-on.

Assignment window controls are:
    Right click = clear blessing
Left click or mouse scroll = cycle blessing
Shift + mouse scroll = cycle blessings for all classes at the same time
Clear = removes all assignments from you or paladins you control
Refresh = rebuild your buff bar with new assignments + request a report from other paladins about their assignments
Options = opens the options menu with tons of customization options and layout controls.
Personal 10 minute blessings controls:
1) Drag and drop = pick a person name and drop it onto a desired class. (Example: Drag cat druid and drop it on rogue class icon to assign the same blessings).
2) Menu selection = select person for 10-minute buff, select paladin who's going to do the blessing, select a blessing.
3) Mouse wheel on the player button

This is not actually a comment, its more a cry for help.
I have a account with 2 paladins on, one alliance and one horde.
On the ally paladin, PP works fine, no probs whatsoever, but on the horde pally, its not working at all, i have noticed every time i load up the game and look on the addons for the 2 chars, the ally paladin have PP ticked in with a yellow tick but on the horde pally, its not ticked in and when i tick it, it becomes a white tick. This is really weird and i need some help bad.

Well, don't you know you can enable addons on the character screen per character? As long as PallyPower is enabled there you're fine.

Thats the thing, pally power is enabled on both paladins but still it only works on the alliance one, when logged on the horde char im trying with the /pp config command it just says invalid command, press h for help or something like that. Its like its enabled on the char in question but just doesnt kick in.

Hello. I used to be a long time user of Pally power and i believe i was among the first generation of people to use it (I remember days when I'd get ridiculed for using such an unknown mod). But now apparently unusable to me and many other pally friends of mine because we use wowmatrix. I was wondering if there are any plans in the near future to allow wowmatrix to host your mod? Some of us refuse to switch because of previous experiences customer support experiences.

Because people behind wowmatrix act like bunch of anonymous assholes, who steal addons and don't give anything back to authors, they are not going to get my authorization to host PallyPower. Ever.

As of patch 3.3. Pally Power sends tremendious ammount of spam while communicating to the raid.
here's a screenie showing 20min into the raid. all the pallys had the latest release.

I did check my ToC25 raid and the most PallyPower spam in 1 hour was 4900 messages 165KB total size.

    That is highly impossible.

Here's what you can do to find who's spamming. Open PallyPower.lua, find a line

    self:ParseMessage(sender, message)

and add one line before it with

    self:Print(sender, message)

You can edit the file after alt-tabbing, then use /rl in game to reload UI.

What is the "R" in the upper-right corner of the player buttons? I see it in some of the screenshots here, but the description above nor the screenshot windows describe it.

That's in/out of buff range flag. Green - in range, red - out of range.

kaliannameyron's hint with Simple Mini map works fine with me. I can finally use PP again.^^

  • I've resorted to letting healbot remind me to keep up my pally buffs until pallypower decides to play nice again. It's a temporary alternative, but all the pallies in my guild are having a similar problem, so we're being patient. =D

So what's the problem with your PallyPower?

    Reply Report Permalink
  • jch4983 said

Pretty much the same issues as kaliannameyron, dx2727, and 85214. PallyPower doesn't recognize me, my party members or even the members of my raid, nor does it appear to communicate with any other players who have PP. I'm sure patch 3.3 changed things a bit, but as I'm not a programmer, I don't claim to have any insight. =)

I've also tried running with PallyPower as the only activated add-on. I even reinstalled PP and cleared the wtf files. Refreshing doesn't seem to help. If you have any more suggestions, I'd be happy to try them out. Also, if you'd like screenshots or anything else that might help, I can provide those as well.

Make sure the addon is enabled (/pp standby).

If that does not help, there's a generic guide you may need to follow:

  • I found the problem for me. And your most recent post was very helpful in locating it.

I had tried the /pp standby before and received the message that PP was enabled or disabled, but when I went digging back through the configuration options on the assignments block, I found that the add-on was not "enabled" in the menu. In fact, I tried typing /pp standby while I had the menu open and it gave the message, but didn't change the state of the add-on.
Maybe this shows what I'm trying to explain better:
Did /pp standby and looked: http://dontkillthekiwi.com/images/active.jpg
    Then I did /pp standby again: http://dontkillthekiwi.com/images/suspended.jpg

Now that I know what's going on, I can use my PP again. Thanks for your help. It's probably just my computer being crazy, but maybe you can find something that will prevent this for other users.

Thanks again for PP, I know we all love it. =)

  • I have the same issue as dx2727 and 85214, refresh/reset does nothing, handle and auto-buff button show. Handle/Options work as normal, auto-buff is perma-red. Will happily get you any info you need if you can help me find a solution. ^_^ Thanks for all your hard work.

  • After a full delete, fresh install, two hours' headache, and at least a dozen false leads, I think I found the problem. Not being a programmer, hell if I know *why* this is, but I was able to duplicate the problem with only PallyPower and the old version (the one hosted here at Curse) of simpleMinimap enabled. With SMM disabled, and also with the new version available at wowace.com, PallyPower works as intended. Hopefully this works for the others with this problem, too.

  • You're lucky, my pally power won't work even if it's the only add-on loaded. =/
