  • About PallyPower
  •

Pally Power is an add-on that provides an interactive and easy to use interface that allows you to control assignments of blessings for yourself and, if you are a party leader or an assistant, for other paladins in your group or raid. You don't need to be a paladin to control raid/party blessings.

Buff button controls are:
Aura button:
    Mouse Scroll = change aura
RF button:
    Left click = cast RF
    Right click = cast seal
    Shift + Mouse scroll = RF on/off
    Mouse scroll = change seal
Auto-button:
Left click = 30 minute buff, auto-target people w/o buff or low buff time remaining
Right click = 10 minute buff, auto-target people w/o buff or low buff time remaining, buff either the same as class or personal if assigned
Class buttons:
Left click = 30 minute buff, auto target
Right click = 10 minute buff, auto target
    Mouse scroll = change buff
Shift + mouse scroll = change buffs for all classes
Player buttons:
Left click = 30 minute buff, targets the person you click
Right click = 10 minute buff, targets the person you click, buff either the same as class or personal if assigned
Mouse scroll = change personal 10-minute buff

In combat all auto-targetting and buff selection features are disabled and player buttons are the only way to re-cast blessings.
To access PallyPower blessing assignment interface please use either a command "/pp config" or Broker_PallyPower add-on.

Assignment window controls are:
    Right click = clear blessing
Left click or mouse scroll = cycle blessing
Shift + mouse scroll = cycle blessings for all classes at the same time
Clear = removes all assignments from you or paladins you control
Refresh = rebuild your buff bar with new assignments + request a report from other paladins about their assignments
Options = opens the options menu with tons of customization options and layout controls.
Personal 10 minute blessings controls:
1) Drag and drop = pick a person name and drop it onto a desired class. (Example: Drag cat druid and drop it on rogue class icon to assign the same blessings).
2) Menu selection = select person for 10-minute buff, select paladin who's going to do the blessing, select a blessing.
3) Mouse wheel on the player button

"Auto-Assignments finally work as intended (using blessing templates according to the number of paladins available in the raid)"

im i just test it with a prot, a holy and a retri pala
the auto-assi set the holy to cast mighty and wisdom and the retri zu cast kings
i wonder why the retri with skilled mighty was not set to buff this ?

is it possible to make the templates editable ?

Paladin template for 3 buffer gives the following priorities:
    1) Wisdom
    2) Might
    3) Kings

So if your holy paladin does not have improved wisdom, then it is possible that the retribution paladin gets assigned wisdom, holy - might and prot - kings. That's is not totally perfect, but normal.

You can reassign the priorities to 1) Might, 2) Wisdom, 3) Kings by editing
    PallyPowerValues.lua

    PallyPower.Templates
    [3]={...
    [5] = {2, 1, 3} -- might, wisdom, kings

The only think I would want is support for Dual Specs. So I could have one setup for Ret and one for Prot.

Thanks for the addon for all paladins. Just wondered if possible to change it a little to auto update when your change spec fires then wouldn't have to get rid of the aggro buff on yourself when you go DPS and change your blessings automatically. Even creating profiles doesn't seem to store your blessings so you get the same ones no matter what spec you switch to. Thanks Bud Laman budman1@aeroinc.net

  • "R - range"

Showing the 'R' means in range of buffing? Or out of range?

Also Az, where can I go to get an explanation of the various frame background colors -- i see transparent, green, red, blue, yellow, I think I even saw a beige color too.

  • Aznamir said

Green R - in range for buffs, Red R - out of range
Green or transparent = everyone in range is buffed
Red = all buffs are missing
Yellowish = some buffs are missing
Blue = custom 10-minute buff is missing

    Thanks for the answers, Az.

    More questions:

    1) What is the letter in the top right corner of the player frame?
    2) How do I create a 2 column, 5 row "custom" layout as you indicate?

    Reply Report Permalink
  • Aznamir said

    R - range
    D - dead

All custom layouts are defined in PallyPowerValues.lua.
    c - class button
    p - player button
    [n] - its index
x = a, y = b - offset in relation to the parent (the anchor for class buttons or the class button for player buttons.

Use Notepad++ to edit the file.

As it looks like didn't see my forum post: RosterLib has been obsolete/abandoned for quite a while. Since around when Lich King/WoW 3.0 went live and UnitGUIDs (among other things) became provided in the WoW API (UnitGUIDs actually became available before 3.0 in 2.4). You can also give group member names instead of UnitID's to most/all WoW API calls.

The original Ace2 Grid mod--slowly being supplanted by the Ace3 Grid2 currently--hasn't used RosterLib since around when Lich King went live and the mod started using UnitGUIDs. No other modern/supported unit frames or other mod uses it either. So hopefully we can see your fine mod switch to Ace3 (or similar) in the future.

    Lots of (noob?) questions:

    1. What does Class Buttons 1, 3, 7, 9 mean?

    2. Can somebody describe the 5 layouts of standard, layout 1, etc? The differences aren't apparent.

    3. What is the difference between player layout left and compact left? The difference isn't apparent to me.

    4. I wanted to make a rectangular box of all 10 classes or whatever (2 columns, 5 rows). I set the row and column sliders accordingly, but all the frames still extend as a vert or horiz bar.

    5. Do you have to reload/refresh UI often for changes to take effect? It seems config tweaks are either slow to change or don't change as all.

    1. Class Buttons (1,3,7,9) - used in the standard layout to control the relation between the anchor and class buttons (direction where they are going to roll out). Same as the num-pad keyboard buttons related to '5'.

    2. Layouts 1-4 (and more incoming), a set of pre-defined layouts (vertical, horisontal, different direction of player buttons, etc). Standard layout - a dynamic layout controlled by Buff Button Options. A bit complicated.

    3. Player button left - rolls out all 8 buttons in a single horizontal row. Compact left - stacks them into one vertical column next to the left of the parent class button.

    4. That can not be done using a standard layout. Need to create your own custom layout.

    5. Some UI options require a complete rebuild of the PallyPower UI, that's why you need to click 'Refresh' button on the assignment screen.

Getting the error below when clicking autoassign.
    - Clicking options does NOTHING. Even clicking multiple times does not work
    - When clicking Options button with debug enabled nothing happens.
    - Wiping the characters profile does not do anything
    - Clicking autoassign the second times make it work
    - Installed via Curse.com client.
    - Playing on EU servers.
    - Only PP enabled.
    - Wiped all SavedVariables, layoutcache etc.
    - PP version 3.2.10-release.
    - Setting up buffs actually work
    - Buffing works as well
    - Sorry for the wall of text, i work in IT :D

    Keep up the great work!

Next time post a bug using CurseForge.com ticket system.

To see the option menu you may need to scale down the Assignment Window using
    "/pp configscale 0.6" command.
