  • About OzRaid
  •

OzRaid is a raid/party window 'construction kit', designed to let you build clickable showing health/mana/buffs/debuffs/etc. for raid members and or targetted mobs.
Unlike other mods, this lets you build custom windows depending on what information you need only. For example, a raid leader may want to see the whole raids health status along with the major buffs (AB, Fort, Pink paw, etc.) so they can see at a glance if everyone is buffed & ready. Healers can show certain groups or classes (or the CT/oRA2 Main Tanks) on special big bars that only show current HoTs & debuffs, with the health deficit shown in the new 'Big K' numbers that show you quickly & easily what size heal to use. DPS'ers can make a replacement for the default 'Main Tanks Target' window, which will not only show raid icons (very useful for targetting when the raid leader is shouting 'kill the orange' in a mass of mobs), but also can be customised to show only the debuffs you care about - such as Curse of Elements, Sunders etc.
You can even make non-clickable info windows, for example all the raid members within 30 yards who are in groups 2 & 4 who dont have your class buff. These let you make reminders that will pop up if anyone in your assigned groups requires a rebuff & they are in range. There are too many different combinations to list, so the best thing to do is start with a preset and play with all the options till you work out what you want!
Basically, for each window you can specify the input units (i.e. my party, the raid, targetted mobs, Main Tanks, etc.) and then apply filters (hide based on class, group, etc.) Finally pick the display options that suit you, and which buffs/debuffs you want to see on the bars. Simple!
Fully compatable with Clique & other click-to-cast mods that use Cladhaire's system for registering clickable windows, so I reccomend using these for click-cast decursing & the like!
Frequently Asked Questions:

'I made a window but I cant click on the bars!' With patch 2.0, Blizzard forces any 'clickable' window to be locked during combat. What this means is the unit ID for a bar cannot change in combat. So, if you have selected any option in the OzRaid options that would require the units to change (i.e. filtering or sorting out people based on range, health status). These options are still there after 2.0 so you can make info windows such as an emergency monitor, but unfortunately this means you cannot click to target or cast.
'So.. isn't it like CT Raid Assist?' No. All it does is show unit health/mana bars (and raidicons, buffs etc.). It doesnt provide any of the other cool things CT does (like boss warnings, and many more) This addon was written simply to provide a smaller & neater overview of the raid than the CTRaid and Blizzard party frames. But it now does so much more. It also works in parties & solo as well as raids ;)
Slash Commands

/ozraid [n] /oz [n] Open/close window [n], if no window specified (orit can't find it) it opens the options instead.
Please read the README in the zip file - much more detail & some tutorial frames!

  • Hey, wanna start of by saying love your addon :) But I had some "issues" when playing my DK. I wanted it to show Horn of Winter and Imp. Icy Talons as buffs, but only IIT worked? And also I tried to make Lifebloom visible on my druid for arena, but only Regrowth/Rejuvenation wanted to show. Is there any special settings I should change? And how can you see the debuffs with OzRaid? I read the read-me but haven't gotten it to work. Ty verymuch in advance.

  • Couple boss debuffs that would be EXTREMELY helpful if added would be Iron Roots(Freya), Nature's Fury(Freya), Squeeze(YS), Brain Link(YS). I'm sure I will see more that would be helpful and I can post those later. Thank you!!

  • Added - will be in next version (planning to add 2 debuffs showing at once for the next version)

In the meantime - type '/ozbuff record' before a fight, and then in the options->buffs list will be an entry for 'recorded'. In there will be all buffs/debuffs detected since recording started, so you can they add it to your bars for now. (click the Mob help/Mob harm/Player help buttons at the top to filter it so you only see debuffs on players - makes it easier to find!)

  • It's there!
Note that the 'mana by Class' window seems to be slightly broken. Ok, very broken. Everything else is shiny & good tho :)

  • Any idea when this will be working again?

  • I am just putting the finishing touches to a new version, it should be ready before the end of the week. Just a few minor bugfixes to come (I took it through Ulduar last night and found a couple of things I want to tweak)
But it will be coming soon...

  • Btw, I am currently working on a BIG overhaul of buffs/debuffs - its taking a bit longer than I planned but there will be a shiny new version once it is done.

PLEASE: Post the names of any buffs/debuffs that aren't currently showing on the OzRaid bars at the moment. i have added quite a few new ones, but Im sure Ive missed some (stuff that you need talents for)

  • Not seen this.
Which text is it? The names, numbers or groups?

Sorry, I forgot to say that the problem is with the names. I have the names on the left of the bars, and sometimes when I move the addon's frame one or more names remain in the previous position.

In any case, it's easy to solve it from Display -> Name position, as I said in my previous post.

    Thanks.

I'm having the same problem sometimes, but I'm solving it changing the position of the names in Display -> Name position, then chosign the previous option.

BTW, great addon, it's my favorite.

  • Anyone else having the problem of when you move the OzRaid frame the text is staying in place? It's only been happening since 3.1.

  • New version!
Supports LibHealComm-3, so grab that & see the incoming heals from other people with the addon :D

  • I have had a report that the frames are not updating for some people - has anyone else found this, or are they working for you? (please reply as the more info I can get the easier it will be to find & fix - even if 1.74 is working fine for you)

    Reply Report Permalink
  • Found the problem - Blizz managed to break the LoadOnDemand system, so the Ozraid.toc needs the '## OptionalDependancies' line taken out, otherwise it decides to try loading the options panels before it loads OzRaid itself, which then breaks because the options panels tries accessing tables that don't exist.
Have uploaded a new version (1.74) with the fix in, so should be approved & appear soon. :)

I receive the same errors as SaberHawke with 1.73.
New install, never used addon before.
Tried on 2 different WoW installs, same errors.
