What this mod does

This addon will allow you to auction multiple items at once using different pricing schemes. I loved the idea of Igor's Mass Auction, but it had a few bugs in it and a few features I wish were incorporated.

A few differences

  • I completely rewrote the addon trying to keep the same look and feel from Igor's.
  • Price schemes can be added by authors much more easily.
  • I wanted to allow pricing schemes to not add an item if they have no data for initial bid or buyouts.
  • I decided not to use the one-click feature, as alt-clicking replaces it.
  • A max of 18 auctions still exists, but if people demand more, I'll create a scrolling window, and add more! (With more than 18 auctions, this might be a bit harder to review your auction prices, so I didn't implement this yet)
  • Fixed the coloring of items in your bags (I do not know if this will work with all those bag addons or not)

Basic Pricing Schemes

  • Default - Initial bid and buyout are set to the default initial / buyout values.
  • All Same price - If you leave the number of items empty, values are set for the entire stack. Or enter a number, and the values are set for each # of items in the stack.
  • Value Multiplier - Lets you set Starting / Buyout prices as a percentage of different selections.
    • Vendor value
    • Default starting price
    • Default buyout price
    • Starting price you set.

Usage

Opening the Multi Auction Window

  • Open the main Auction Window
  • click on the Multi Auction tab at the bottom of the Auction Window

Selecting Price Schemes

  • Main pricing schemes are selected from the drop down labeled "Set Prices With"
  • Each pricing scheme may have several options to choose from (Such as Value Multiplier may have a few starting and buyout price selections)

Setting durations

  • Select the radio button for an individual auction to the desired duration
  • Click the desired duration button at the bottom of MultiAuction to set durations for all auctions

Adding an item to MultiAuction

  • Select a pricing scheme
  • Add the item with one of the following methods:
    • Drag and Drop the item into an empty item.
    • Alt+Click an item from your bags
    • Check the One Click checkbox at the bottom of MultiAuction, and just left click an item from your bags

Setting prices for an item

  • Add an item as normal
  • If an item is already listed, you may manually change the price

Notes

  • Changing the pricing scheme while items are already listed in MultiAuction will not change their prices.
  • If you wish to set all items in MultiAuction using the selected pricing scheme, simply click the button labeled "Set All Prices"
  • If a pricing scheme does not supply a starting or buyout price, the item will not be added.
  • If a pricing scheme supplies a starting price of 0, the item will not be added. (You can't start an auction with no starting price)
  • ValueMultiplier can fallback to the auction house default values in a pricing system does not return price values for it using the default fallback checkboxes
  • To add part of a stack of items, split the stack into your backpack first and then add the stack to the auction

What pricing scheme/settings did you use?

    Reply Report Permalink
  • well oh I checked again, it's only bugged if this stand on
    "all same prices"
If I use standard or value multiplier then I can add items in the multiple times. But I can't add items if it's stand on "all same prices"

And with Alt - click they are bugged at the 3 modus :s

  • it's something weird now it works again, I think it's a bug if you start wiath "all same prices" modus, if you switch to "standard" you can add items again and if you set to "all same prices" it continues working, :s

Found an addon that remembers the last prices by originally but it seems to be broken at least for me. "qAH Improved".

Can you pls check that for the price schemes you mentioned.

Ok, as there seemed to be a few older addons that did last price that are either broken or missing in action, I decided I'd make my own. I named it MultiAuction_LastPrice.

It adds Last Start Price and Last Buyout Price to both the starting and buyout drop downs under Value Multiplier price scheme.

Sorry for long updates. I have been raiding more than I have been developing. :)

  • Ever since the new patch have not been able to use this-there is no where to put items-and multiauctioneer doesn't have the undercut pricing that is so awesome-is this going to be fixed?

I dont know what messes it up but the addon does not remember any previous item price I've just set on but Igor's one did. so when I put an item into Ah and do it again with the same item next time I have to set the price manually again.

    Any idea?

I think that was part of the EasyAuction mod. He added in a price selection that worked with that mod. I can't seem to find the EasyAuction mod. If you know of an addon that remembers the last bid/buyout prices, I can add a price scheme for it.

Well I dont and didnt have EasyAuction at all and I got the "remember last used price" built-in function pre3.1 when I used Igor's Mass Auction. I though it was IMA itseld but if you say no, maybe one of my other auction addons did probably. I used AH_ShowBid and AuctionSnatch and IMA only and I replaced only IMA with your one. Can you please look for it, this "price remembering" would be really useful for your addon. (no need to set manually the price after an expire again and again.)

  • This is a very minor thing, but would it be possible to make it so that when you click the multi Auction tab in the auction screen to have it automatically in the start/buyout price tab, so all you have to do is immediately start punching in numbers for auctions? It's something Igors had, and I got used to it :P

That was actually one of the reasons I made this mod.

  • Great add on. I've been running low level instances to get greens for enchanting and have a ton of cloth to sell as a result. This makes putting them all up for the same price easier and faster.

I would like to make one suggestion. Have a feature where you could right-click on an item to put in and empty slot on the Mass Auction tab would be nice. I think that would further streamline putting up masses of things.

Thanks for the great Add On.

    Bug:
When "Set Prices With" is "All same Prise" (or "Value Multiplier") it's not possible to put Items to the tab.
I have to change to Default, add items and then siwtch back to "All same Price" for my auctions.

  • So you know where I am coming from, I am a former user of Igor's Mass Auction addon, that used Easy Auction to remember prices for items I had already entered, along with the one click feature.

A feature that would make this kind of addon so much better would be the ability to post all items your character is carrying with pre-existing price data. That way if you had say, a hundred items on you, you wouldn't have to click over a hundred times to list them. Should you have a thousand items waiting in your mailbox to be relisted, then the example becomes even more extreme.

As to how such a feature could be best implemented, that may require more thought, but even a crude version of such a feature would be helpful. I say crude as in, maybe one click to see how much it'd cost to list so many items at one time, and then another click to go ahead, effectively reducing the number of clicks required to a hundred of so items to a couple.

By the way, I really wish you'd bring back the one click feature. I believe, as a general rule, the fewer buttons, and mouse clicks you have to press to accomplish something, the better the addon.

I've been taking a break from working on mods while I play WotLK.

I have a few things to do.. 1 click, add a moving price function for the auctioneer part of this addon, and something else i can't remember :)

Hrm.. I originally had duration buttons in the addon, and it seems 3.0 broke where they were hooked to, so it wasn't displaying them. I never noticed it since I never change the durations. r4 should fix it so they are displayed now.

Thanks a bunch for doing this!

I just installed and tried testing it, but I see two problems immediately.

    1) There's a default setting of 24hr auction. I don't see a configuration method for setting the default to 48 hours. It has to be changed manually.

    2) Your mod gets the correct pricing information from Auctioneer, but only the 'bid' portion of the price is inserted. The Buyout portion is left blank =(.

Any idea what's causing these errors?

    Thanks again!

    Hmm.. that's a bit strange.

Do you know which bid/buyout selections you are using in the value multiplier part?
