About MonkeyClock:

Yet another hack of Telo's Clock, the MonkeyClock AddOn for World of Warcraft displays the current time in a nice dragable frame. Based off Telo's Clock, minus the tooltip and plus per character per realm saved config settings. This clock is very light wieght and doesn't use many resources.

Features:

  • Military time option
  • No tooltip info
  • Option to lock the frame
  • Option to hide the border
  • Server time offsets
  • Alarm notification (requires MonkeyBuddy)
  • Snooze function (requires MonkeyBuddy)
  • Right clicking opens up MonkeyBuddy, if installed
  • Per character per realm saved config settings

Slash Commands:

See included ReadMe.txt for slash commands or use MonkeyBuddy to configure your MonkeyClock.

    It still works *dances*

  • This is in regards to interacting with MonkeyQuest. It says it will open MQ upon right clicking. Will this make it so that if MQ is closed, the tooltip for quest mobs will still be updated?

example: I have to kill 10 MOBS for a quest. while MQ is open, I can kill a MOB, and the tooltip will be updated for 1/10 MOBS killed. I would close MQ, go kill two more MOBS, and the tooltip would still display 1/10 MOBS killed. I would then open MQ, it would update the tooltip to say 3/10 MOBS killed. While leaving MQ open, each MOB killed would have an updated tooltip. So my question is this: if MQ is closed, and I'm running MonkeyClock, will the tooltip be opened as if MQ were open?

It's not really simple to code, but it's something I've wanted to add for a while now. I don't think I'll ever get around to it though.

You could try this mod: http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=827

At least from a non coder stand point I think it is a simple request..

    An alarm.

15-10-5 minutes out - pop window or something. Description line.

So like alarm set for 10pm, at 9:45 window pops up, "Hey The Shield is coming on, log off!"

Over minmap: You should try myClock, that's exactly what you're looking for.

Lock option: It's in the latest version.

Love the MonkeyMods, on the monkeyclock I hide the border and move the clock to the top portion of my mini-map window so its easy to see and out of the way, but doing this disables the ability to mouse over dots on the mini-map to be able to tell what something is, like the background of the clock is still there but invisible to the eye.

Anyway to get rid of the background totally or to make it click through, this would give the mouseover-on-the-mini-map function back.

    Thoughts?

  • Why can't I lock The clock? Would be a nice option

I love the way that MyClock is so small (and in such a great possition), but I hate having the empty space in MonkeyBuddy without MonkeyClock installed. Do you think you could add an option to layout MonkeyClock to replace the day/night indicator like MyClock does? This, I think, is definitely the best spot for a clock in-game that anyone's found so far. Not such a big deal, but I thought you might like the idea.

MyClock is here on Curse, it'll be easy to find if this idea interests you.

You can download the lastest versions of all the MonkeyMods in one package at my homepage. I just don't feel like having another mod entry to keep up to date.

This is actually Blizzards fault with the latest WoW patch not saving the layout of movable frames. I have a few mods that ALWAYS go back to the default position.

Expect a work around for this Blizzard bug in a future version.

  • Nope. can't be done. Bliz has specifically disabled that functionality.

this doesn't have anything to do with MonkeyClock, but I have a request and i think you might be able to do it. I really need a mod that tells me how far I am from the target. I don't think there is a mod that already exists that does this. Just a simple box that shows how many yards you are from the target. You think you could come up with something like this? Maybe even call it "MonkeyDistance" ...

First of all, great mod, i think it surpasses all other clocks and i love the MonkeyBuddy too. Only one thing! - could you package all your "MonkeyMods" together? I use all three of em and that would save me a lot of time.

Every time I log in, MonkeyClock is back to the default top-center position. It won't stay where I put it. This was not a problem in previous versions. I am currently using v1.3, but I will upgrade to v1.3.1 when I get home today.

I am using MonkeyClock, MonkeyQuest, and MonkeyBuddy.

Yeah, that would be nice, or maybe a frame like the one used for the cast bar would be nice also.

/mctoggleborder gets rid of the "same oversized ugly frame"

I was thinking of adding a backdrop with options much like those found in MonkeyQuest

  • hi, i have the problem (with any clock addon) that yellow text is hard to read on a white /very light blue sky-background. Is there a possibility of a version with an (optional) dark background ? -Thanks in advantage.

Why do all the clocks have the same oversized ugly frame?

Please concider making a new "alternate" one that also adapts to the non am/pm so its not so big.

    Thanks
