MBF is partially working for me still, but the buttons are randomly deciding what size they will be and if they'll be square or circle shaped. It's also taking a long time now on login to relocate the buttons.

With today's patch, MBF no longer works.

    Stop bugging the author :-)

If you use SATRINA BUFF FRAMES:
    /sbf options
On the "Global Options" tab (on the bottom), uncheck "Show tracking"

I guess most other buff mods that can list tracking as a buff will have the same interaction problem. For a workaround, in MBF you can check Hide Tracking, and then uncheck it again, but you have to do it each UI load.

"...but you have to do it each UI load."

That's kind of the problem we're having.

Hopefully someone reading this has found a fix and will be kind enough to share. And I don't think politely reporting an issue is "bugging the author". This is how issues are brought to the author's attention so they can address them. If we don't report malfunctions, the project stops at v1.0.

And after tinkering with AddOns all night, I think I've located -my- culprit. Though MBF can cause issues with tracking, you still have to re-check the box every login. I found that modifying the options in Squeenix, however, overrode SBF and anything else that may have been causing a problem.

Check your minimap AddOns (Squeenix, SexyMap, Chinchilla, etc) and see if they're overriding any minimap buttons options.

Same issue as a couple others. Every time I log out, my Calendar and Tracking icons disappear. The Hide Calendar and Hide Tracking boxes are unchecked, but the only way to get them back is to check those boxes, then uncheck them. Must be done every time I log out.

You have another addon that is hiding them. I've checked out this issue so many times that I'm absolutely certain that there is another addon messing with them.

  • Apologies if this has ever been mentioned before, but I'm hvaing a problem wiht this and kgpanels.

MBF seem to like eating custom panels. Especially the one I want to anchor to the minimap. I did manage to find a workaround my using /mbf remove when the panel wasn't anchored to the minimap so that MBF would tell me the name and I could add it to exceptions.

It wasn't happy though and chucked out this debug text:

I got that same (I think) message when attempting to use /mbf remove whilst the panel was still anchored to the minimap.

Anyway, apologies for the spam, hope it helps.

You'll need to add whatever the name of the custom boxes are to the exceptions. It they are custom named then you'll have to do it indivudally for each one. If they are named by kgpanels with a generic name with some numbers thrown on the end, then you can add the non numeric part to the exceptions and it should ignore them going forward.

I have a problem. My track icon is gone...

Please check that the tracking icon isn't being hidden by another addon. Such as a minimap icon or a buff display addon. Also check to make sure it's not set to be hidden by MBF. MBF won't do anything to hide the icon unless the option is selected.

Does still not work. I have disabled the only addon that could conflict, deleted the SavedVariables for it.

Disable all addons but MBF and see if the track icon works properly. If it does then there is another addon that is conflicting.

Somehow I seem to have lost my calendar icon. my MBF looks like it has room for 3 buttons, but only 2 show. ny idea how to resolve this?

I also use simpleMiniMap, but I don't think it does anything to the minimap buttons

Empty spaces usually mean that the addon that the missing buttons belong to have been hidden by their respective addon but rather than actually being gone the button is still there just not visible. simpleMiniMap will hide the calendar button. Make sure that it's not set to hide in it's options. If it's not set to be hidden by MBF then my addon won't do anything to whether or not it's visible.

  • I had a wierd experiance after an update of clicking the addon frame to open up the button menu and the frame jumping across the screen and then refusing to open./MBF to open up the options menu and putting MBF's button on the mini map to open it seemed to work the glitch out.Unsure of the cause but, i was able to use it normally aftwards.

This seems to be a glitch in the code on the blizzard side. I've had several different addons display this type of behavior.

I've got a problem where the blizzard buttons, like the calendar, are appearing underneath my other icons bar, even though I have it selected not to collect them. I have a frame around my addon buttons, and they're all outside of the frame. If you left click and try to drag them, they'll suddenly appear back on the minimap for about 5 seconds, but then jump back again. Any idea why this is happening or how to fix it?

Sounds like your other icon bar is conflicting with MBF. I'll need more information about it before I can determine exactly what's happening.

  • When I scroll over the minimap itself I can see the icons but when I scroll over MBF the icons disappear. I use Sexymap, could this be a conflict?
