  • About MHXHunter Mod
  •

The MHXHunter mod is a compilation of custom emotes, sounds and functions mostly specific to our guild & server. It features many sounds based on skill use and events that happen in the World of Warcraft world, as well as key communicational features to help organize your team-based PvP. Some of the functions of this mod will only work if you are in the Kiith-Sa Hunter guild, but most will work even if you are not. There are some communication and administration functions leveraged by the companion Reaver mod as well, which is activated on the Ravenholdt Horde realm.

It also brings back some of your favorite sounds from classic video gaming history, so if you're a light-hearted veteran gamer, this mod is for you.

Feel free to visit our site and share any ideas you may have for future builds of this mod: http://mhx.moonfruit.com

Scripting & Design by: Liege Xapewaio Hunter, Archon Reaver of the Kiith-Sa Hunter (MHX)

Concepts & Sounds by: Scya-Lord Zeromus Hunter, Soulforge Reaver of the Kiith-Sa Hunter (MHX)

NOTE: This is not a Hunter Class mod! This Mod is primarily intended to be used by the Kiith-Sa Hunter (MHX) and other denizens of our server, but can be used by anyone without issue. We are on Ravenholdt (RP-PVP) Realm and play for the Horde.

All I know is that it has to do with hunters and guilds, it could be a mod that plays a fart sound as a cartoon panda bear in a clown suit (minus face make up) unicycles across the screen while playing the accordion when you crit a fellow guild members demon in a duel.

  • It really does do quite a number of handy things, like the battleground notifications, and the killing blow counter it shoots off. It breathes a little extra life into the game where there is currently nothing.

Is there any way we can know if anybody else has the addon? That would be cool.

  • At this moment, only the master-mod would be able to tell, but It may not be a bad idea for us to try adding something to the tool tip to indicate that someone else has the mod right off the bat, or maybe a sound to trigger that the person you have targeted also has the mod.

Good thinking, Blargg. We'll keep that in mind for future builds of it.

:: Edit :: Now that I think about it, there actually is a really simple way to see who all has the mod. If you check your chat tab, the mod's silent communication channel should have everyone with the mod in there.

Each mod has a silent communication channel, I believe ours is like "MHXMod" or something to that affect. If they're in the channel, then they have the mod.

  • justcallmefred,

I uploaded a fixed MHXHunter.lua file. Just replace the one that you currently have with this and it should resolve the issue.

    Thanks,

  • You have 1.7. and 1.6.11 fix. 1.7.1 gave me the error...which one do I d/l?

  • Just last night I had even more hesitation right as I enter the game world. I tried installing it on my wife's laptop for her, d/c's right on entering game world.

  • Been using 1.7.2 since you pointed it out :)....and really enjoying it.Wifey said when she tried to log in with it enabled it seemed to time out on login. I admit we use many,many..MANY mods, but I've never really seen this before. I know on my pc I only have a few seconds to hit o.k. on both messages before they are gone.

  • Hey, thanks for taking the time to help us trouble shoot. We're trying to make the mod as best we can and bug reports like this help us find possible issues and resolve them smoothly.

Did you try 1.7.2 to see if that fixed your issue?

  • You shouldn't have any issues as Guild Map is a separate module. There is code in the MHXHunter mod to disable and enable it but that is the only current tie-in.

  • If I don't use the Guild Map mod, will that give any problems? I didn't install it, didn't have any errors, just wonderin if it isn't looking for it on startup?

Edit: BTW I use Cartographer, that's why I didn't install Guild Map.
