I have a problem. i cant find how to change options. And when using it I dont understand what kind of price it uses. the one it shows are totaly out of proportion. I have auctioneer and the price matscost show are totaly irrelevant to any form of pricing auctioneer makes. It might be because i cant reach any option button and cant find any command to use. Can anyone help me.

I do love this addon very much - thank you for bringing it to the public.

Quick question; would it be possible to tweak this for Inscription somewhere? I mean, easily, since I'm not sure how it is on other realms (I'm strictly Sisters of Elune), but there is almost never a case where inks are up for sale on AH, and it makes figuring out the mats cost for Inscription difficult. Any way for a noncoder to possibly tweak it so that the ink costs are based off the cost of millable plants? Or would it be too complicated to manage without the help of a solid coder?

This addon had exactly the functionality I was missing from Tradeskill Profit Maximization - the ability to print a list of the most profitable items depending on paramters set.

Do you have any plans to include support for logic AND of both minprofit in gold and percentage? Say for instance, items should both yield a 30% profit and at least 1 gold. Should be a trivial task, might try doing it myself.

At the moment I don't have any plans for it, but when I am in the code again I will try to keep it in mind. If you want to make sure I remember it, make a ticket for it.

I would love to use this addon, but I have issues with it. I have accurate scan data, twice a day for 2 years plus. I use the latest auctioneer, I dropped "classic" almost a year ago. The issue that I have is simply...inaccurate mat costs. Can you please go into more detail as to how this mod actually averages prices? Auctioneer has several statistics modules. Is it an average of all of them? When an item is new, price is high. As time goes by prices fall. Example: Goldclover *simple prices (seen 29,000)14day=1.83 7day=1.51 3day=1.34 *Histogram (seen 2000) median 2.34 IQR=1.40 *Std Dev mean=1.31 normalized=1.21 *Sales-sold 88 @3.34, normalized to 3.25 and last, *purchased prices(aucs that end early and are assumed sold) 14day=1.84 7day=1.51 3day=1.32 (trending downward.)Based on the numbers returned by 3 of these 5 sets of prices, current (3day) goldclover is about 1.33g. Auc shows a "market price" of 1.77 So how then, does this mod return 2 goldclover=6.55g as my mat cost? The sales I made were long ago, and should not be counted towards current pricing. Not only that, my 88 sold doesn't weight nearly as high as the 29,000 simple prices, 2000 histogram, or 343 purchased prices scanned. Any info at all would be appreciated. Thanks.

It works off the prices reported by the AH addon. For any details we would need to either read their source code or ask them. In the case of Auctioneer we are using AucAdvanced.API.GetMarketValue

When I tested it with about two weeks of scan data it worked well... right now I am using and testing other source with the addon though. Since all we do is work from the information that the API returns, any details would best come from the Auctions mods author.

If you have Enchantrix loaded with AucAdv and mouseover any Recipe/formula link, the tooltip will display a breakdown of the mats cost. "Alchemy: Elixir of Armor Piercing" for example. Enchantrix can be set to call its prices from any of 11 modules from AucAdv, this is set on the "Auctions" page of Enchantrix, "item value calculated from" This is quite a nifty feature for figuring out mat costs on anything expensive.

When Enchantrix is set to call from "AucAdv Market Value" it shows the exact same price that AucAdv shows in its tooltip as "Market Price" I assume this is the AucAdvanced.API.GetMarketValue.

I urge you to load Enchantrix with AucAdv and and set it as described, then mouseover various recipe LINKS from a profession book, and compare what the Auc/Enchantrix tooltip shows against what MatsCost shows for the same item. You will see wildly divergent pricing. If they both call the same numbers, then they both should be the same, or at least reasonably close. I'm afraid they aren't, however.

I would have to assume it is not AucAdvanced.API.GetMarketValue if the results are not the same. Since the results are fine for me with two weeks of scan data I have to think something throws it off or it does not adapt fast enough.

If you read http://wiki.norganna.org/Auctioneer/5.0/Core_API you will see they say they made a big nasty hack in their function that needs to be fixed. I urge you to report it to them and link the thread here so I can follow it. Or have you already reported it? They may have forgotten to make this function better or think no one cares about it.

Does this only work off of AH Prices of Mats?
Would be really cool if it knew how much I bought a item for, DE'd it, count how many mats I got out of that, then give me a price based on that instead of AH prices.

yes, it is off the AH prices the AH addons report. It is not really meant to be a cost tracker, so much as a way to view the expected cost to make an item when you are browsing them.

If you want to get auction statistics from AuctionMaster, you should have a look at the function "GetAuctionInfo" in "Statistic.lua". "isNeutral" has to be set to "false" for the faction auction house.

Ah, I actually had looked at it a bit When sharkims first commented on it. Then with the holidays did not get back to replying on it. At the time my planned post was, I did not see a clear API hook and it probably would not happen without some help from its author. I see jebenafaca got the author to offer just that, so now I will say it will probably be going in. One or two small reservations yet, but I am expecting/hoping Udorn can help me with those. I will be pming him later today or tommorow about it.

nice idea, but im not sure how matscost is generating the avg cost for mats. say i want to make 100 runic mana pots, i want the avg price calculated of the first 100 goldclover and 200 lichbloom, not the avg price of all 1000 of each mat that might exist on the AH, which now has matscost listing the price to make a runic mana pot 30-40% higher (based on my servers mat prices) than what it would cost to make those 100. in fact for most of the craftable items, matscost lists the cost to make them much higher than what they actually cost based on the AH info. Perhaps you could allow an option that calcs the mats' cost avgs based on a user setting. So say I only want to make 5 of a crafted item, i set Matscost setting CalcAvgMatPrice to 5, so it would calc the mats cost based on the lowest 5 buyout prices of each of the needed mats (if there was only 1 of each mat used to make the item, for example).
