Type /ld50_abar for commands.

A swing timer that works for a change. It also correctly supports dual Wielding

Features:

- Correctly Supports Dual Wielding

- Shows what causes the swing timer to reset

- Has a latency Overlay

- Works with 2 handed weapons

- A very directed scope to just a swing timer.

- Out of combat fade out.

- Update frequency setable (fps)


Setup - the left numbers are the current swing speed - the right numbers are the time left on the swing - the overlays show the latency - the center text shows what caused the swing timer to reset.

    Question:
    Would you rather a suspend the timer when you slam and come back to a swing timer just like it was before a slam

    OR

    Would you like to come back to a new swing bar with just the time remaining.

    ALSO

    I ported all three of the LD50 addons to Ace3 and clean up a few rough points, so the next release is soon.

  • I would much rather have a bar that is suspended, and then continues. Theres really no point to having the swing timer be a bar if the amount of time represented by its length is constantly changing; might as well just have it be some text if you're going to make it reset every time you slam.

    I've noticed in release 3.3 that the swing timer changes to reflect the cast bar (slam), while slam is casting, then reverts back to tracking swing. Is there any way of disabling the mod from trying to show my cast bar? It's a bit jarring for the bar to suddenly become a 0.5 second (or 1.5 untalented) slam cast bar, then jump back to representing swing time.

    This addon has issues when warriors use Slam. Since Slam no longer resets the swing timer, any use of it will cause the timer to be off until the next autoswing. Here is an example with a 3.5s 2H:

    * I autoswing. The timer shows 3.5s and counts down.
    * With 3.0s, I start a slam, which has a 1.5s cast time untalented.
    * I perform Slam with essentially 1.5s left on the swing timer.
    * The swing timer reset to 3.5s. This is the part that is now wrong.
    * About 1.5s later, I autoswing. The swing timer resets again, showing 3.5s left. It is now in sync again.

    This may also be an issue with hunters and steady shot as I believe it follows similar behavior. Both Slam and (I believe) Steady Shot now push back the autoattack/autoshot in the case of overlap instead of consuming it. Let me know if you have any questions or if the description did not make any sense.

    Using ld50_abar 3.1 and a normal 2H weapon, every result text on a normal hit is showing up as "Resisted". No buff spells or anything to cause additional magical damage, and no resists of any kind showing up in the combat logs. I might try some debugging to print what spell LD50 thinks is being resisted, but have no experience with the combat event code yet.

    Heh, figured it out. The Wrath client adds new parameters to some combat events; adding those parameters to the parsing code gets it all working. What's the easiest way to send you the changes I've made to my local copy to get it to work?

  • I can't get my ld50_abar up since the latest patch and it won't recognize the /ld50_abar commands. Any thoughts?

    Wow, I added a line of script to my reply to SmuvMoney and it broke the comment system...

    Anyways, I just had to edit the embeds.xml file to make the folder path agree with the name of the LibSharedMedia folder from my Omen install.

    I noticed that two libraries were left out of the release that are listed in embeds.xml:

    CallbackHandler
    LibSharedMedia

    If you update from v48 or earlier, you won't notice the error unless you use an updater that deleted the folder before upgrading. If you update to this version directly without having a previous version, you get errors about missing libraries.

    I'm a long time user of your swing timer and I've always liked it and never had any problems before... but as of this patch I can no longer get it to work. None of the different variations of chat commands (/ld50_abar, /ld50_abarz, etc) will seem to pull it up.

    Actually it doesn't even seem to be loading when I enter the world. It shows up in my game menu as consuming 771KB of memory when I log in, but there are no chat messages on entry or UI reload.

    I've tried running it as my only addon and still no dice. Can you think of anything else that may affect it?
