Currently, this mod will time the duration of various hunter abilities in a draggable frame. The tooltips that show which mob the timer is affecting are only shown when the ctrl key is pressed.

Slash commands

/kht on/off
/kht menu
/kht reset --if the bars break, use this to clear them
/kht resetpos --will put the bars back in the middle of the screen
/kht delay # --delay added to shot cast time (in milliseconds)
/kht flash <time> --sets the timeleft for the flashing to start (5 seconds default), set to 0 to turn it off
/kht step <step> --larger numbers mean faster flashing (default 0.05)
/kht barcolor r g b --sets bar color to r, g, b where r, g, b are between 0 and 1
/kht barendcolor r g b --sets the barcolor to change to when near completion
/kht setbgcolor r g b a --sets the bg color where r, g, b, a are between 0 and 10
/kht colorchange on/off --enables/disables the color change feature (off by default)
/kht up/down --sets whether it grows up or down
/kht scale # --where # is the % you want to scale to
/kht lock/unlock --lock or unlock the timer frame
/kht status
/kht clear all --resets all options to defaults
/kht debug --debug info for testing purposes

This is the ongoing development of the great addon that Sorren created. Sorren has returned, but he has decided to write a whole new addon from scratch. Development of this version will continue.

  • I have been asking about to set individual colors to individual bars. I guess it aint coming but since you have divided the bars into categories now can we at least see an option to assign different colors to bars of different categories as a whole? Thx a lot.

    Oh, have a look at these settings.

    This is a copy of the SavedVars. I've cut out the irrelevant settings (which don't affect the design): Anchor placement, active skills, skill icons, and bar direction. All other settings are there.

    The result is very clean with a nice bar design, thickness, spacing and color. Results may vary a bit depending on UI scale (perhaps, maybe not).

    I can't tell if it's related to other Hunters Stings or ?

    I'm going to need more info. What were you attacking? How much time was left on the sting when the timer disappeared? Are you sure the sting was still on the target?

  • Hi! I love this addon and have been using it for quite a while now. Is there any way to change what the anchor point looks like or make it so that it's not visible?

    Also, if you could add a proc for the Pyrite Infuser trinket I would greatly apriciate it.

    I'm glad that you're going to look into saving the position as a variable instead. That'll save so much constant frustration whenever any of us users disable addons.

    The other request, setting custom Bar Textures, is really simple, just make a text input field where we type the path. A lot of addons solve it this way. And "if field =~ "" then use the bar texture" very simple. See below for the Gloss.tga I've uploaded to pulseforce.com, it looks GREAT and you may prefer to use it rather than the default blizzard texture you're using. Check it out, it's really slick.

    Lastly, I'm impressed and glad that you've grouped the different types of timer bars into categories (Beast, Marks, Survival, Pets, Misc, Trinkets). This is not far from one *sick* usability improvement: how about each category having a toggle entry at the top?

    That'd make it simple to switch things, rather than clicking 30 checkboxes under Trinkets (I got the idea since I use Elkbuffbars to see trinket timers and don't like to see it in two places, and it'd actually be a big usability improvement if this toggle existed, it'd let people disable trinkets with one click without having to re-enable them all separately later if they want to use the bars after all).

    I think you should add it since it's so short and sweet "If TrinketCategory_Enabled AND Trinket_BloodlustBrooch then ...", or however you're handling the events. ;-)

    PS: What is Auto Shot doing under "Marksmanship"? The "Miscellaneous" category (where you have mostly racials) is more appropriate since Auto Shot is a universal skill (it's not part of either Beast, Marks or Survival), and it's not a Trinket, and it's not a Pet skill, that only leaves the Misc category. :-)

    About to install the new version. Did you look into programmatically storing the X/Y position? I don't see it in the changelog.

    Please do it to avoid the bug where location settings are lost whenever the addon is disabled/unable to load, due to relying on layout.txt.

    Pretty easy: Immediately after frame creation on AddonLoad, set X/Y and Width and Height to the stored values from the savedvars, or to default values; also add a "frame moved or resized" event that updates those particular variables. Bingo! ;-)

    Up until the latest patch, the timer for serpent sting had been working perfectly with its glyph. Now, I have several issues. (1) the timer works perfectly; (2) the timer is only for the shorter sting duration (t minus glyph); or (3) the timer is for the shorter sting duration, but when the sting lapses, the timer restarts automatically for another sting w/o any shot actually being fired. It has basically made the mod for this shot useless to me, which is a shame b/c it is a wonderful tool. I cannot account for the change, nor understand why it works on some applications of the sting, but not others.
