    Just tested it out with a friend, he pm'd me while on ignore and his message went through (on his end) and didn't say the "This person is ignoring you" line, that normally comes up. However, I didn't get his message... So is this being 'fixed', or is it meant to be like that?

    Also, the comments on the right side of the Ignore list are endlessly buggered up; When I scroll down, the notes don't move. Ie if I made a note for PlayerA, then scrolled down a page, that same note would stay at the top (PlayerJ, or whatever is at the top), is that another mod messing with IgnoreMore, or is IM just messed up?

    Ignore the second part of this post, it was CT Core that was messing it up; The messages were being saved via that mod, then scrolling with this one, which led to the confusion.

    For anyone that didn't know, double clicking the person's name on your ignore list allows you to alter their note, so you can remember when and/or why you ignored them. :)

    Idea of the addon is great but I still don't understand it's logic. Ignored people can still talk to me and invite me to their little parties. What part of that is 'ignoring'? When I ignore people, I don't want to hear from them again.

    But anyway, the addon at least serves as a list of people I don't like where I can write I note of them. That way I can at least check the list from bad people and why I ignored them long ago.

  • The addon seems to be broken as people that I've ignored have no trouble messaging me.

    CUSTOM modification to reply text + reason to a blacklisted player whispering you

    (better code format in comment section at wowinterface)

    open IgnoreMore.lua

    find

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    -- Our chat filtering function, installed via ChatFrame_AddMessageEventFilter

    local function IgM_FilterFunc(msg)
    if list and type(arg2)=="string" and arg2~="" and type(list[arg2])=="table" then
    if event=="CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM" then
    return false, msg.." (NOTE: You are ignoring this player!)";
    end
    return true
    end
    end

    replace to

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    -- Our chat filtering function, installed via ChatFrame_AddMessageEventFilter

    local function IgM_FilterFunc(msg)
    if list and type(arg2)=="string" and arg2~="" and type(list[arg2])=="table" then
    if event=="CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM" then
    return false, msg.." (NOTE: You are ignoring this player!)";
    elseif event=="CHAT_MSG_WHISPER" then
    if IgM_Last and IgM_Last==arg2 then return true end
    if list[arg2].reason then reason = list[arg2].reason else reason = "none" end
    SendChatMessage("Sorry I can not see your messages because you are blacklisted, reason: " .. reason, "WHISPER", nil, arg2)
    IgM_Last=arg2
    end
    return true
    end
    end

    This will force IgnoreMore to whisper back only 1 time to the blacklisted whispering you the text + reason and by that way you could see that someone in your blacklist attempted to contact you.

    It happened again tonight. Someone whispered me, I whispered them back and an addon informed me that I have that person on ignore. I checked my ignore list and sure enough, I've had that person on ignore for almost a year now, but they still managed to whisper me tonight. O.o But After I whispered him back and got the message that I had him on ignore, I didn't hear from him again. It's like the addon needed to be reminded that he's on ignore.

    I'm not sure if I was still in the party or not when he whispered me. But I know that I remember a time when I wasn't in a party and I got one that I had on ignore. I was in Ironforge standing in the auction house and I put someone on ignore that I saw chatting in the trade channel. I wasn't in a party and yet, he whispered me successfully. It seemed kinda strange though. It was like after he got a successful whisper in, THEN the add-on ignored him. See, this is what I'm saying. It's like, sometimes it works, and other times it doesn't. *shrug*

    I should mention that IgnoreMore purposefully does not ignore people in partychat right now - it stuck me as a semi-useful idea.

    But having him be able to _whisper_ you sounds... wrong.

    Okay. Fair enough. It's not the names per se. The names that aren't being ignored the way they should aren't spelled in a special way. However, I'll provide an example. Tonight, I was in a dungeon run with someone that I didn't have on ignore. Things didn't go well so I put him on ignore. That seemed to work. I didn't get any whispers from him nor did I see any posts from him in the party chat. We came to a boss, killed it, and then I saw his posts in party chat; more than one. Afterwards, I got a successful whisper from him. I checked my ignore list, and sure enough, he's still on it. It seems to be intermittent. That is to say, that sometimes it'll ignore people, and sometimes it'll just stop ignoring them. It's not just one or two names on my list either. And the names in my ignore list aren't filled with special characters. They're just normal characters in the names. If you need anymore information, let me know exactly what you need and I'll try to help you out. Thanks :)

    Would you have examples of working and non-working player names?

    "Needs to be updated" is ummm... wha? It's up to date.

    This seems to be acting fickle for me. It'll ignore some but not others. I don't know what's happening but it would seem that it needs to be updated.

  • I and my friends mourned the loss of this addon with the 2.4 patch. I can not even _begin_ to tell you how happy it makes me to see it again. A very hearty thank you.
