Guild Tax, Tithe and Donation Helper

Yeah, change the text from "tax" to "tithe". Tax == bad.

Would be really nice if the tax to be collected did not show up in the backpack inventory. That way, you never notice the money gone and can't accidentally spend your tax away.

For example: Your backpack says you have 100 g. You owe 10 g in tax. Rather than showing 100 g in your backpack, have it show 90 g, so when you go to the guild bank and the tax is "taken", you never even notice it gone. Very painless.

I would like for this addon to ba able to take the money the member owes and deposit it into the Guild Bank when the member tries to repair their armor using the Guild Repair button at the armor vendor, or the GM should be able to set up a date to which all members will auto deposit their taxes when they log on that day or after.

Like the program, just wish it had more features. What I would like to see is the ability to take it out of the GM's control and set my own individual tax amounts for each setting. Example would be while questing myself I would like to contribute 5%, and while questing as a group I would like to contribute 10%, and when farming for gold I would want my auctions set to 10% when on my own and 20% as guild, vendor sells would be 5% and 10%. Effectively disabling the GM's need to set anything as it is not an add-on my GM wants to run, but I still very much like the idea of contributing my fair share and it would still allow anyone in my group to see how it works as an attempt to get them to contribute aswell.

I'm liking this addon, have had installed for a while now with no problems.
One small suggestion, would it be possible to add a feature for a guild master to reset the Total Tax paid on a certain date? ie like the 1st or 28th of the month?

We've just started using this mod (Soul Exchange, EU Eonar), and I have a couple of small suggestions.

When someone officer or above (Or is thats not possible, whenever anyone) uses !guildtax in guild chat, all online members whisper that character with collection stats. Maybe a second !totalguildtax command that would whisper just total gold taxed/pending.

An additional feature that can tax a set amount per day. So you could set it to tax everyone 1g per day, or 5g per week, something like that.

And one small problem I've come across with this, as the new tax addon is mentioned in the MOTD, the addon seems not to find the tax rate in the guild info (I assume because it finds Tax, but no amount in the MOTD). When I added Tax=10% to the MOTD instead it picked it up.

- "With Guild" + "Mailbox" = why?
- SubObtion for "Mailbox" >> All mail or only mail from the auction house (transferring gold from an alt currently taxed?)
- Option to reset tax to zero
- LDB option (Display current tax rate and/or total current tax owed) so we can display this inside fubar/titan panel, with rightclick menu for options
- Integration of options into interface panel

Question:
Does guild tax set aside the taxed money for later deposit so that it can't be spent or just keep track of how much tax you owe?

You can have it actually "hide" the money from the players use if you want to (see DepositBox!)

Another suggestion for an alternative name: GuildDonationHelper.

I'm seeing massive QQ about this addon on various blogs and forums, all because people hate taxes.

Can you add a fubar or ldb option? (display the current tax + rate) The current floating window is a tad ugly.

my suggestion is to also add an optional cap at the guild level, so say tax at 15% to a max of 100g a week or something like this.

Let gm set the cap and users define if they wish to set their own.

a couple of extra features that would be good;

Track who has given how much gold (30days/60 days/lifetime) - maybe this can be picked up from the gold log in the gbank.

method to check who is the guild has the mod and their options (this means if you have mandated the tax you can see who is trying to avoid)

I like the idea, warhammer do this by default and I think it's a great idea, I am not sure how successful it will be if it's an addon that can be not installed or disabled etc.

Great idea for an addon. That it's completely voluntary, and all the options are voluntary too, is awesome.

Rather than use the GMotD though, I'd love to see this addon use the Guild Information window. That's how other guild addons like GroupCalendar, Guild2Guild, and (now outdated) DuckieBank work, and frees up the GMotD for important daily messages. :)

Also, given the completely voluntary nature of the addon and its options, and given that everyone hates taxes, might I suggest changing the name from GuildTax to GuildTithe?
