  • About Forsaken Threat Meter
  •

FTM is a threat-meter optimized for a overview to multiple mobs.

Move the frame by holding the shift-key!

For each mob that enters combat there are up to 16 bars which are showing thier aggro status.

Mobs that are tanked by you have a blue bar that fades red as the aggro raises.
Within this bar there is the name of the 2nd highest player in aggro with the percentage of aggro missing to pull.

Mobs that are not tanked by you have a green bar that fades red as your aggro raises.
Within this one there is the name of the tank and your aggro percentage for this mob.

Left of those bars are small portraits of the mobs or the raid symbols if available (star, skull, ...). Your current target is marked by a green arrow that points on the targets row.

Changes 0.2b:
- First Public release!

- Added gradients instead of plane colored bars.
- Added raid icons instead of mob's portrait if set.
- Added threat counter in points if there is no other player having aggro on the mob.
- Added arrow to mark the players target instead of a third bar color.
- Fixed a delay that caused a too small backround for the active count of bars.
- Fixed some refresh bugs.

Bugs/Issues getting fixed with 0.3b:
- Contract list if bars get removed in the middle.
- Optimize refreshment of mobs that are not targeted.
- Syncronisation.
- Ignore unimportant mobs. (enemy player's pets e.g.)

Dunno if this is working anymore, but if people are looking for a lightweight replacement, try Simple Threat Meter:

It doesn't provide the multi-bar support like this addon (yet), but it's a damn good addon and it's 100 percent accurate. Best of all, it really is SIMPLE. As a ranged DPS class, I haven't needed to use Omen at all since I started using Simple Threat Meter.

Any hope of this being ressurected, or something like it being implemented?

  • Agreed the Mobs need to be able to be targeted

It's impossible, the mob list is generated in combat - anything populated in combat cannot be interacted with in that method since 2.0

There's a lot of potential with this addon. However, it really needs a few options in it. The bar is far too wide for my tastes, when most of the time it's not even getting half filled. I'd prefer a bar half the size or so, with a target name since the tiny portraits alone don't help so much. That's less of an issue if everything is marked, but that doesn't always happen.

Also, what's up with the text looking so bad?

I really like the look and layout of this compared to the current 2 prominent threat meters out there, Omen and Classic Treat Meter. Is there any chance a module could be made to this mod to display for DPS classes and there chance of pulling aggro. By the wording above I gather this to be best designed for showing whether aggro is pulled from you. I could see the layout of the mod being easily designed to be in essence multiple Pullout bars like what the old Omen had. Count down to aggro pull on multiple targets instead. For AOE DPSable classes, like Mages/Warlocks/Balance Druids/Elemental Shaman/etc... it could be a real life saver and DPS booster at the same time to readily track treat on all targets as TPS to TPS comparison to tank for 130% aggro countdown. You can maximize DPS for the fight by comparing to countdown time of boss downing based on DPS per target out of max HP. Sorry, I am writing a bit mathy. Anyway, I see lots of potential for your mod. I hope you plan on boosting it's features for DPS and tanks alike and making it the cornerstone of raiding in the future of wow.
