  • About ForteXorcist
  •

ForteXorcist is a powerful AddOn for Raiders. Mainly targeted at Warlocks.

Main features:

  • Spell Timer
  • Cooldown Timer
  • Warning Sounds
  • Self & Raid messages
  • Talent Spy

For warlocks also:
  • Soulstone Tracker
  • Shard Manager
  • Summon Assistant
  • Shard Spy
  • Healthstone Spy

The timers currently have limited support for All Classes and of course full support for Warlocks & Death Knights.

Type /fx or /fw to show the options interface.

Fortegaming.com, the addon's original home, is no more. That's why I've decided to make wowinterface and curse its new official homes. I will write a new features overview here when I get time. I'm sorry for the current lack of documentation. You should be able to get quite some information from the options interface and its tooltips in-game, but if you have any questions, just ask.

You can always see a sneak peek of the upcoming changes in the change log.

Please post bugs and requests at my ForteXorcist portal from now on. You will also be able to find FAQs, News and other documentation there.

Hugs from Cute Warlock Xussie & Hot DeathKnight Xusseh!

Hello, I am French, sorry for my bad English language.

When I am in a battleground i have the message "Your are not in a raid group" spaming me. I have just the spell timer module actived, and all auto-messages in raid or party group are disabled. When i disable ForteXorcist i don't have this message. Thank for help.

Is it possible to make the units in the Spell Timer targetable? I have my Forte set to track all the PW:Shields I cast, but if I notice that some important party member has 3 seconds left, I'd like to just click them on the Spell Timer stack to target them for recasting. Perhaps I'm missing the option.

As far as I know this requires buttons that don't move or disappear 'automatically' in combat, so no. I may add bars that are always up and that have this ability in the far future.

I'm having issues trying to use SpellIDs with the Spell Timer, is it possible to do this or not?

Basically, there is a buff called fortitude that comes from the tanking ToC trinket, and one that comes from the scrolls. I want to show one, but not the other, it seems the only way to do that is SpellID though, so I would ask that if it's currently not possible, would this be something that could be added please?

    Thanks.

Hello. First off this add on is great. Mu only problem is with the Soul Shard manager. It does not seem to work right, maybe its a setting, im not sure. When I get a SS it appears on the mouse on screen. Then I have to either right click to have it go in my bag and/or be deleted if it hit the max SS mark, or left click to manualy delete it. I have messed with the settings in the SS manager, but nothing seemed to make a difference. I have deleted all the out of date add ons and reapplied them. Currently all my add ons are up to date. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Being able to use this aspect of this add on would be really cool. Thank you.

Note: This addon caused a huge framerate hit for me during large battles.
I believe it's down in the parsing code ... the more "stuff" that's happening the worse your framerate drops. I have all spell timers off, except for about 8 or so which I have enabled.

Good mod, lots of features but the performance hit (quadcore on Win7 with an nVidia G260) is pretty high. It may (or may not) have cross-mod issues with Prat, which I installed at the same time. However, removing this one brought the biggest gain back so it's the one which will stay removed.

  • This isn't a problem with coding (Xus has it written pretty nicely), the problem is more than likely tied to an add-on you are using that removes the FPS variance. To check this, log in the game, and check your FPS. If your frames are OVER 60fps, then dropping to 40 randomly, or when moving, this is more likely the cause. I personally don't remember how to write in the limit, but if someone can post that then you want to set it to not go over 60. Most actions, and/or computers don't really gain THAT much from more.

from what to what does your framerate drop? I'll make some tweaks to FX. I suspect you go from really high to still relatively high fps (for me relatively high is still 30-40)?

hmm that assumption probably isn't right, since I already coded FX better than I thought :P But I'm still interested in seeing from what to what your framerate drops exactly.

I have been using my demo spec alot lately so i hadn't noticed this till now but at times i'm getting two haunt debuffs showing even though i have it set to only show my current target. The second debuff is showing right above my buffs as though it's listed with them. I have the cooldown hidden for it yet it still does this what can i do to resolve this.

I'm having the same stuck-in-screen prob some other people do... Basically the options ui just becomes locked, you can still use everything but you can't move the whole ...thing.

Which kinda sucks if like in my case it's a bit over the screen so I can't access everything. :P

Lol sorry, being lazy and only checked afterwards. The lock addon option is a global one and locks the options interface too (peculiar enough) :P

    Laff. Problem solved. =^_^=
