  • Great Addon, but could use a few more options-- I.E. Seperate fonts for various things (NPC names being one, but the text for the Character Frame being another).

I changed the font size in game and the font size is updated immediately. However, when I quit the game (not just go back to character selection page) and enter again, the font size returns to the original size (the size without this addon). Does anybody have the same issue?

    Thanks.

Can you try enabling only Fontifier and making the change? There may be a conflict with another addon you have installed.

I find that LibSharedMediaCallback is never called because I am using zhTW client so the fonts are not actually registered to the library. Now I add Update() to OnInitialize to solve the problem.

It seems like using Custom.lua isn't working

Verana Sans had quite the fan base, it seems! It's been added back as a built-in custom font. This will add the font back into the game and also give those adding their own fonts an example to look at. See Readme.html for more information.

Thank you! I followed the instructions in the Readme file and had my own fonts up and running on no time. Great work!

Hm - is there a font-type change in windows 7?
i tried to use some custom fonts like verdana, but they don't show up in the font list.

if i edit the core.lua and add therein the fonts, fontifier wouldn't load as addon (/fontifier command not found)!
    dunno where is the problem.

I uploaded one of the fonts here:

I just tested with a few fonts (including a few included with Windows 7) and everything is working fine. Download a new copy so everything is back to how it should be in Core.lua.

A common error when trying to add fonts using the procedure in Readme.html is when creating the Custom.lua file in Notepad, it's actually saving the file as Custom.lua.txt. Double-check this by unhiding file extensions for known types (Organize > Folder and search options > View tab in Windows Explorer).

I'm going to create a batch file in a few minutes to make this process a million times easier. I'll post a comment when it's ready so you can test it out.

hey gnack, love this addon. great work. however, i noticed that sct twin century is gone. this is the only font i really like. i don't know where to find it, and i'm not tech savvy at all when it comes to coding. what can i do? D:

That font was never included in Fontifier. It may have been included in another mod you use. Have you updated or removed any of your other mods recently?

Hi Gnack, love the addon. Been using it for a long while now. Curse just autoupdated me to 0.3.0, but there appears to be an issue; I use Luxi Sans as my font for everything. Upon loading in following the addon update, all my font settings in Fontifier had magically changed to Cantarell. I've changed all the drop-downs back to Luxi Sans, but player and NPC names/titles/guild still appear to be rendering in Cantarell. Reloading hasn't helped.

    Any suggestions?

Log out. The game engine only loads the 3D rendered fonts (like NPC names) once when you log in. Let me know if that fixes it.

Durr, I guess I could have tried that before posting, eh? That fixed it. Thanks!

Is there a reason Verana got removed? It was definitely my favorite font!

It had some hinting and alignment issues at certain sizes because it was converted from PostScript to TrueType to work with World of Warcraft. Dejavu Sans is a close cousin of Verana Sans (they're both based off of Bitstream Vera Sans) that you can add to Fontifier (see Readme.html in the Fontifier folder).

You can download Dejavu Sans here: http://dejavu-fonts.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page
