FlagRSP2

Darn it. Im so sad now. Is there a Beta version of rsp coming out? I only ask because i have a mac and i really really want this addon. !!!

I have just installed this addon on a machien that had it quite some time back.

Whenever I turn on "sticky descriptions", I get a Lua error screen which states the following:

This dialog box will not close, and the count will keep incrementing as far as I can tell. I let it get to 20k before I quit the game and submitted this. :)

I am on Win7 Professional, 32Bit, if that makes a difference.

Ive a Suggestion for your addon here.

Something ive noticed often is people roleplaying lore classes and such, such as Necromancers and Runemaster. Would it be within the addons power to alter the tooltip to show which class someone is playing as instead of what they rolled as? it would be a nice little additonal and add some more variety to roleplay.

I'm a BIG fan of your add-on.
I've just bought an new laptop as my last one's graphics card fried. I can access my files on the old laptop but can't run WoW on it.
I've downloaded the latest FlagRSP2 from here onto the new laptop but I don't know how to transfer all the character descriptions over or where they might exist.
I don't really want to rewrite them all for all 30 of my toons.
Please can you advise me how/whether they are transportable.

You can try looking into the old computer's World of Warcraft folder, then into the WTF folder, from there navigate through the account/user/server/character/savedvariables
and you can try copying those files, I don't use this addon myself (at least not yet) so i cannot tell you exactly where you will be able to find them.

I have an issue where I will type something up and it will look fine, but when I click on my character and see it in the tool Bar description, some words are missing letters etc... it's fine in the edit box but when it comes to the pop-up box it seems to leave things out. Anyone able to help me?

I had a similar problem, and I think for me it was a mod. I have one called Identity-2 that makes it look like "Therine: [Cantras] blah blah whatever" when I talk in certain channels (to explain who I am, if I'm on an alt, for instance). What happens sometimes is that I'd type a message, hit the character limit, hit send, and it would be a couple characters shy-- because [Cantras] pushed them off the end. So I'd be missing letters out of my flag because it sent [cantras] along with my text.
Wouldn't explain giant things, but worth a try maybe?

I have the same exact problem, and it's really frustrating. I work really hard to make a description, only to have bits of it chopped out and jumbled around.

The most annoying case, and I think I found the problem to it, is my Druid's description. Now, it should look like this (Note that I'm giving you just a small piece of it):

Languages Known: Darnassian, Common, and various animal languages.

The woman that stands before you doesn't appear too different compared to the standards of her kin. Long, dull, silver hair falls nearly to her waist in messy ringlets. Golden brown eyes glow warmly and sit above full cheekbones. Her nose is narrow, slightly pointed, and contrasts with her glowing eyes.

Now, this is what shows up in my pop-up box (just a small part of it):

As you can see, I have a large part of my description cut out. Now, I've reduced -A LOT- of stuff, and I've found that when I do that, the chopped up areas grow less and less.

This is incredibly annoying to have to deal with, since other people see the chopped up areas as well, and I have to remove a lot of my description just so they can see it properly.

I really hope this is fixed, or there is already a fix to this. Please, let me know if there is.

It's not the title, it's the text inside of the description box (Meaning: The box that pop's up when you click on a player). For example: I could type in the a whole paragraph of information into the mod and it would be fine, I then wait for the right amount of time for it to load and be able to be seen in the pop-up box and the changes will eventually come through -but- a word that was spelt correctly when entered (and still is when you open up the mod to edit text) will come through on to the pop-up as "wpon" or cut in half like "Wea".

Know how I can fix this problem or if it is common?

Nothing between the two were changed. A simple copy and past for both. As you can see the discrepancies in the pop-up, not the input field.

I have a curious issue after disabling and subsequently removing FlagRSP2 - apparently many people with the addon still see the name title and description for my character.

I've had the addon disabled for a month now, and uninstalled it with the curse client a couple of days ago after I was told that I was still wearing the RP flag.

Is there a way to purge this flag?

I would think that one solution to the user's problem would be to reinstall FlagRSP2, fill in the character's first name but nothing else, and leave it up for a couple of weeks. The blank profile should propagate across the server and replace the other one, yes?

ok so this was working fine for me untll i updated to the newest release.

Whoa. OK.

Ever since the 2.1 updates, FlagRSP2 is NOT working. I'm not even getting a LUA error in my chat.

So... I reinstalled it, and then disabled my other 4 add-ons.

WoW Instant Messenger (WIM) - disabled
QuestHelper - disabled
Tongues - disabled

And... I got a LITTLE further. Still no icon on the screen, but, there is a button on my Character view - I click it, and I get this:

Ideas, anyone? I hate to go back to FlagRSP WotLK cos of the way it formats things (no scrollbar!) but will have to if I can't figure this out.
