FeastPower

A queuing addon for cooks that lay feasts in raids that helps prevent duplicate feasts from being lain. Sick of two people laying a Fish Feast or other feast at the same time and wasting those precious fishies??! FeastPower is intended to prevent such inconveniences as well as provide some extra utility for raid cooks.

  • Announces type of feast queued to raid, allows queuer to unqueue feast
  • Shows feast layer, feast type and time left on feast in FeastPower window, also shows feast queue timer
  • Gives raid message to warn when feast has 15s before disappearing (feasts last 3mins)
  • FuBar and minimap support - slash commands /fp or /feastpower to open/close FeastPower window

I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions. Thanks! roasticle

    Hi,
    Will this addon keep track of who has laid out feasts in past raids? Or does it only store this info while you are logged-in?

    Thanks,
    BJR

    Bugged and has design issues.

    Installed FeastPower v1.0.1. Using the default minimap here, along with FuBar 3.6. Notice that there is a new minimap button under the default world map button (with an edge sticking out), but it doesn't have proper FuBar support.

    Left or right click the button, it brings up the FeastPower frame. But there is no facility for attaching the minimap button to FuBar bars as a proper implementation would have.

    Then grab the button to try to move it. Error comes up (recorded with BugSack/BugGrabber); the button cannot be moved: ["message"] = "string:\"FeastPower_MinimapButton:OnDragStart\":2: attempt to index global 'MyMod_MinimapButton_DraggingFrame' (a nil value)\n\n ---",
    ["type"] = "error",
    ["counter"] = 5

    Error repeats every time you try to move the button.

    Design issues:
    --Need to have this work properly with FuBar, as you claim FuBar support in the mod description, but it does not really have it. It appears currently you are just trying to create a minimap button in XML (and its bugged, as noted above).

    --The other design issue is that this sucks down far too much CPU time when you are not in a party/raid.

    Measured with OptionHouse (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/optionhouse.aspx) and only this mod active (as it does not actually use the libraries you put in the XML file). It consumes 0.2 to 0.3 CPU/second when idle and not in a party/raid. It should ideally not be consuming any CPU at any time, but certainly not when not in a party/raid.

    EDIT: well, I later downloaded v1.0. Sure enough, that ZIP contains fully workable FuBar support. Appears on the FuBar panel as well as appears (optionally) on the minimap without issue. Seems you forgot to put the FuBar support in the v1.0.1 download.

    Also, a few of same problems noted above were still noticed after installing v1.0.1 + v1.0's FuBar support.

    Another minimap button (unconnected with FuBar) still had an "edge sticking out" from behind the default world map button. Try to drag and move it, the same error reported above occurred again. And it still uses the same excessive CPU time.
