FailBotEnhanced
This is an update for the main version of FailBot.

Main FailBot features
Will report when someone...

  • is hit by an eruption on Heigan
  • misses the jump on Thaddius
  • crosses 3 or more opposite charges on Thaddius (so 1 person hitting 10 people would display just the one person's name)
  • is hit by a frost breath on Sapphiron
  • is hit by a void zone on Kel'Thuzad
  • is hit by a void zone on any of Sartharion's drakes
  • is hit by a lava wave on Sartharion
  • and last but not least, dies to the slimes after Patchwerk!

The point of this mod is to report on only things that should be able to be avoided at all times. If someone's name pops up on this mod, they're doing something wrong!

Enhancements
I've added a simple counter to the fail messages and some slash commands. In addition to this you can post statistics to your raidgroup! These statistics are saved between game sessions.

Slash-Commands:
/failbot on|off
/failbot reset
/failbot stats [raid|party|say|guild|local|officer|general|whisper name]
/failbot target raid|party|say|guild|local|officer
/failbot announce on|off
/failbot about

Is it possible to change what it says in raid chat when someone gets hit with something from a boss?

Could you have failbot automatically ask you if you want to reset when you go back into the intance? I know you can do it manually, but sometimes I forget.

  • Im finding that every time failbot announces, its announcing twice. I dont see where I can turn that option off. Anyone have an idea?

Is it me, or is /failbot on/off and /failbot announce on/off not working at all?!?! Neither seem to stop the spam when not wanted...
    Any fix to this issue?

I'd also like the option of the ability to announce to a custom channel. Thanks for the great addon!

  • I'd like the option to have it announce to a channel we can set like /failbot announce officer or something.

If your'e searching for a graphical solution (similar to a damagemeter, but tracking noobs), check out this variation http://my.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/enstats.aspx
It's also using LibFail-1.0 (which consists of veev's fail detection) which was written by Sylvanaar.

I am VERY interested in two things.

    1. Quote Eltrain "a slider that you can set from 1-25" to stop reporting fails after that number of people have died.

    2. An Export Feature so we can track "Failures" Week to Week.

My guild is interested in capturing these fails and posting to our website. We would use this data to help determine raid lineups and to Motivate players to do better. We would also be able to determine which players are improving week to week on movement fights like Sarth +3.

  • Could you also add some other things to it, if you have the time such as.

    -Breath on Malygos
    -Locust Swarm on Anub
-Early kill on spores on loatheb (If possible)
-Over 4 stacks of the mark on 4HM
-Melee health over 80% on patchwerk (If possible)

If you're bringing resto shaman to patchwerk, your melee health will invariably go over 80% -- our talent ancestral awakening heals lowest % on crit, and with 16/17k crit healing waves on a hateful tank melee can get hit with 5/6k AA heals. Unless you have all your resto shaman sit out for Patchwerk, or you have them all respec out of AA, there's really little the melee can do to avoid catching heals. As the previous response also indicates, if your melee are getting hit with hatefulls it has nothing to do with health and everything to do with threat management fail.

Melee hp over 80% should not be a fail, since his hateful target is based off of threat.

On Patchwerk 25 he hits the person with the most health within melee range within his top three aggro slots. This is why you need 3 tanks instead of just two.

On Patchwerk 10 you're right though, it's just based on threat.

in 25man its still based off of threat... if u have 3 tanks at the top of the threat charts, it doesnt matter how much health the other raid members have...

You know what this mod really needs, is a slider that you can set from 1-25. It would be a setting to stop recording "Fails" after that number of people were dead, since many times people intentionally die to environmental damage after a wipe is called, making the data in this mod mostly inaccurate.

Tried few times /failbot announce off in our naxx raid, it even says that announce is disabled, but it still continues to spam raid chat with failures.

Love this version, can you please update mod to reflect the bug corrections on Thaddius per the 12/28 Failbot revision? <3
